I loved the mass effect multiplayer a lot, but before I played it I was burned out on shooting guns. Every video game I played I was shooting some type of gun. What I like about DAMP is that it has that same deep class and skill mechanic, but you're not shooting any guns or cannons. There's certainly room to add more maps and things, but the battle mechanics are very good as they are, and arguable more fun than MEMP.
An argument can be made that DAMP is better than MEMP

The only portion I don't like is being unable to move when casting with the mages. Why no strafe?
Seriously, is there a logical reason or is it just a balance thing? Archer/Hunter can strafe and even have a passive dedicated to it.

Using magic requires concentration...have you never cast a spell before in your daily life? Also, the elementalist has a passive dedicated to still casting.

DAIMP is not in the same ballpark as ME3MP.
Not in the same league.
Hell, it's not even in the same sport.
Was gonna post something similar lol. ME3MP >>>>>>>>> DAMP

Each of the dozens of guns in ME3 was unique and many had their own individual mechanic. Each of the dozens of characters was unique. There were different builds viable which worked differently with every weapon. There were six characters classes and five weapon classes and you could use any weapon on any character of any class.
And of course there were the power caster characters which didn't rely all the much on weapons. I made my way to Platinum using a pure power oriented Asari Huntress.
So seriously, in terms of gameplay variety DAMP doesn't scratch ME3. I find hard to believe the OP is serious.

Those who are quick to disagree should really think this through some more. In ME3 you get a couple of guns and then 1 or 2 special moves that you spam that's it. There's not a whole lot of special effects either. All the biotic attacks are very similar. In DAMP you get a lot of different attacks and special moves to choose from. It's a deeper skill tree than ME3. You couldn't even put armor on your character in ME3.
I'm just saying that a case can be made for DAMP, and if they really do release more content then these arguments will be even stronger.

DAMP crashes and is plagued with bugs. I've never crashed once in ME3 since it was released.
A game being playable is a very big deal.

ME3MP is far superior to DAMP. Even now I prefer ME3MP over DAMP.

There is no case. MEMP was friggin awesome, fast paced=fun. Biotic and tech combos brighten my day and mowing down geth bots with a Typhoon puts a warm feeling in my heart.

DAMP is good.
MEMP is a masterpiece of addiction.
I haven't taken my Krogan Vanguard and his Crusader X out for a while, but I'll be back at some point...

It really doesn't matter whether it's my Drell Infiltrator or my Hunter.
I just have a disturbing knack for setting traps and shooting people from disturbingly close distances despite being incredibly squishy.
