Trying to compare DAIMP with ME3MP is like trying to compare a hamburguer with a strawberry icecream....they're two different universes altogether.

And purely technically speaking, they're both practically a clone of each other. Add a 'kick' feature to ME3MP, and here you have it.

The only portion I don't like is being unable to move when casting with the mages. Why no strafe?

Seriously, is there a logical reason or is it just a balance thing? Archer/Hunter can strafe and even have a passive dedicated to it.

Funfact, mages were able to strafe during the pre alpha. Back when mages used the "handblast" animations.

me3mp is better overall.  But there are some things that damp does better:

- It is more team oriented.  At least you stay with your team more than in me3mp.

- Matches are faster.

- No rampant cheaters

- No farming

you're being sarcastic right?  Ok i'll bite, ME3 is also very team oriented, my goups would basically huddle in one spot on platinum and have to work as a team just to have a chance.  Matches actually get started faster in ME3 because you only need majority vote to start, where DAMP everyone has to ready up.  There are fade cloak glitchers running as rampant as missle glitch cheaters from ME3.

What you mean by no farming?

They are different games.  Both do something better (or worse) than the each, depending on how you are looking at them.  And of course, opinions.  That's what they are, despite being "facts" in our minds.

Using magic requires concentration...have you never cast a spell before in your daily life? Also, the elementalist has a passive dedicated to still casting.

To restore mana of whatever, yeah. I think all the mages do which really makes no sense to me. Can't move while casting anyways so anytime you attack something you gain mana back faster?

Wut.

Someone explain because this concept has been lost on me since I promoted the keeper.

Why take it out? Was there ever a reason?

I don't think it's fair to really compare the two at this point. ME3 is complete no more content wil be added. When I first started playing I recall ME3 having its fair share of problems such as a virtually unusable vangaurd charge, OP weapons, cheaters, so on and so forth. I do like that I don't have to hope to pull a new character in damp especially since the addition of level 4 ammo in ME3 really exasperated my wait time seriously screw level 4 ammo.

ME3MP has a much higher skill ceiling than DAMP.

Plus ME3MP has a higher difficulty which can be used for somewhat of a challenge for people with advanced manifests.

Edit: There is also much more variation on the match set ups in ME3MP. Many of these set ups may require different styles of play or tactics to be successful while DAMP remains unvaried in its challenges. Don't get me wrong though, DAMP is fun, but I'm not putting the playtime into it that I did with ME3MP

"Rest now."

Some of the banter is dumb and repetitive, but some like this one is strangely humorous.

But more on topic, I don't see much in favor for DAMP over MEMP aside from things like the Katari voice actor being awesome... um and other minor things.

Better later than never. It is never late to start. There is still a lot of people actively playing. You missing a lot, man. Is there something else I wanted to add?

You should really remedy that, I adored MEMP, just short of 1000 hrs playtime, haven't played it in many many months tho, I burnt myself out. Luckily I was around when the weekend challenges were being done, good times.

ME3MP is not just a shooter. You have power oriented and melee oriented characters as well as the possibility of running different power and/or melee builds on just about any characters. The possibilities are limitless.

But even for those who like to go gun heavy, most guns are so unique in their own right; take the Reegar and the Venom for instance, they function completely different and feel completely different, even though both are shotguns.

DAMP is more loot oriented than ME3 and all weapons feel just the same, they just have different skins and stats and changing weapons has no impact on playstyle at all, with the exception of the Griffon bow.

I like DAMP....but i LOVE ME3MP.

Damp is still in its infancy however, so hoping to see it grow into a great MP.

If MEMP came out on PS4, DAMP might be royally screwed..

Its a shame we compare the two so much, as really they were not out to make anything like MEMP, from what I gathered, they were siming for a baldurs gate style co-op dungeon. In that, they succeeded.

As much as I really really love MEMP, the only things DAMP needs to take from it, is its regular release of content, regular updates, and a more fulfilling chest system to encourage people to spend.

Yeah im more than ready for some new maps, enemy factions and new characters.

Especially characters.

Personally am hoping to see a elven tempest archer who was in Kirkwall when sh*t hit the fan.

There is still time man. Actually it is currently easier to find pug games in ME3MP than DAMP, so don't waste more time.
