I honestly doubt anything with him will be resolved in DLC, hinted and teased sure. I'd love to be wrong about this though.

I highly doubt the Dread Wolf came out of his 1000 sleep so he can bake pies with you and paint pictures. He has a goal and it will end with us back handing him to death.

Well, of course he didn't. I was just saying I don't want to backhand him. Clearly your imagination takes precedence over my own.I highly doubt the Dread Wolf came out of his 1000 sleep so he can bake pies with you and paint pictures. He has a goal and it will end with us back handing him to death.

I agree. Also, the ending is such a cliffhanger that I would be very surprised if it wasn't left to be resolved in DA4. Secondly, I suspect that if it is, then there will most likely be a somekind of option or a way to save him. It would be foolish from BW to treat Solasmancers (I'm not one of them) any other way. I can just imagine the huge backlash that making them kill Solas would cause.

I don't want to wait 3-4 yearsssss for answers. Noooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Expansion pack, pls.
I'm about to start a degree, I will gladly wait 3 years. Because not being able to play because of classes would be far worse!

It would be a bit **** to wait till DA4 with that cliffhanger and if every game is going to have a different protagonist. Would your usual DLC be enough to tie up this plot-line? unless he is only going to do something stupid and create/release the next villain or something and that will be DA4. I vote for an expansion.

It's going to be DA4. It's too big to address completely in a DLC. Or at least if they do then they won't be using the story to its full potential.

The question is,
If Solas is thrown to DA4, does that mean DA4 is about the inquisition too? I would prefer another plot, another character, start over. I dont mind if Solas appears in that new plot, but that is how I would like it to be.

Probably both

I appreciate that Solas turned into a pretty wolf card.
My money is on*** BioWare making what they were toying with for DA2, which would be more of an expansion than "just" a regular sized DLC. Given how much lore was resolved and shaken up during just the Mythal Temple mission, I can see it being just the right amount of content to clear up the major things. If something like the Black Emporium doesn't pass as full-price DLC anymore, I have high hopes.
***Ha! You know, because of EA. Like, they want some of moneys! Mirite?? Because they're EA...?! ...shareholders...revenue....business?! ....that kind of jazz.... right?! I'll tell you how: Like hell YEAH I am.

DLC, so I can ignore it and he won't get to be in the next game messing up things.

As much as I'd enjoy a whole game revolving around Solas' plan of bringing back the elven gods, I realize that this isn't everyone's cup of tea... and if I can see it, and I'm just a player, then I'm pretty sure Bioware's marketing department can see it even clearer. ![]()
Given how much players cried over having races added, it makes sense to stick to a story where all the races can feel equally important... Inquisition had quite a few elf-centric bits at the end there but I doubt they'd make a whole game about relighting the glory of the elven empire or stopping your ex-companion.
Sure, some Dwarves, humans or Qunari might become invested in the struggle... but really, to make the whole issue compelling enough they'd have to add a lot of backstory and most of that would pertain only to elves.
It's far more likely that they'll bring out a DLC (maybe a big one, if we're lucky) to tie up loose ends.

I hope Solas will be in a DA4 something like Dragon Age: The Elvhen. He was a good character during our journey from DAI so I don't see why in the next DA Solas should be a villain. Even if he wanted to tell us the truth about him, he couldn't do that, he couldn't afford another mistake. He was in deep pain and regrets from his previous decisions that somehow gone wrong, but that doesn't make him a villain. Everyone makes mistakes, nobody is perfect. We all should get the chance to make things better. That's why I suppose we will get to help Solas to restore what it was, help the Elvhen.

I agree being one of the ones who really don't like I respect his character but I hate him my favorite play through was a dalish elf but I wish they lean a little bit less on the pass and focus a little bit more on the presentAs much as I'd enjoy a whole game revolving around Solas' plan of bringing back the elven gods, I realize that this isn't everyone's cup of tea... and if I can see it, and I'm just a player, then I'm pretty sure Bioware's marketing department can see it even clearer.

My bet is final DLC.
I have the feeling that they won't leave South Thedas with big cliffangers still opened. If they want to give closure to something I think they are going to do that before DA4.

I think they'll over look Solas till DA 4, they enjoy that sort of thing.

I think there should be some kind of DLC, Lavellan solasmancers need some kind of closure on that. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers involving LIs, especially after what happened in ME3. If I have to wait three years to be forced to kill Solas or watch him die I'm going to be pissed... At least he can't dump them, he's already got that covered ![]()

I doubt his story will continue in DA4 because then it wouldn't make sense to play as a new PC and I really doubt we will play as the Inquisitor again. I would love for an expansion, but it seems Bioware is not making those anymore, but maybe a DLC like MOTA.
