Meant for Out-Of-Character discussing of the Stormhammer RP, like it says.  There may be some crossover with Chasing Spectres' threads, because it is related, but if you are posting about Stormhammer, try to keep it here.  Things that will likely appear here also include any base MEU decisions of importance, story notes, and reference links.  Plus of course talking to others about plots, characters, setting ideas, and so on.

 

As mentioned in the top of the Chasing Spectres discussion, some topics right off the bat can be:

 

1. Asking for clarification on events and actions

2. Proposing ideas to others for them to consider/discuss

3. Asking for help on getting your character into the RP itself

 

The idea for this is also that stories can happen within stories.  There will be main plots and driving forces, but if this grows, people can possibly take 'commands' and missions on their own or with other players.  This is meant to be open ended.

I have to say that I really like having a second "main plot" that is independent to Chasing spectres and, at the same time, plays in the same setting. On the other side I don't know whether it would work to run both stories at the same time because it can be already quite difficult to find the time on writing for Chasing Spectres. 

 

But I like the idea of stories that are not always part of something big like the assault on Omega or the whole reaper thing (or like in Mass Effect itself, everything Shepard did was to save the galaxy). 

 

I think I'm going to join the RP but don't know when I have the time to come up with a character. Things are a bit stressful atm so I can't say when I'm able to post something in any of the two RPs.

@Maj0nese:  Really, I understand.  Let me be clear I am still doing all the stuff I had planned for Chasing Spectres.  This is my brainstorm for solving some problems I ran into with, in all likelyhood, having too much time on my hands   There is nothing wrong with creating a character for this and letting it go however it does.  For me, the plan is to have Chasing Spectres dominate my time.  This is for all that extra stuff running around, and in the end, since it can be a self-sustaining endeavor, is structured to let me be as free as I want to.  I love my Chasing Spectres and my attention with that isn't going anywhere

An intelligent vorcha trained as an engineer by an asari mining project that went belly up. A salarian ex-c sec officer with a habit of shooting perpetrators in the head and a disregard of the rules. A quarian combat officer who specializes in hand-to-hand combat and has a combat droid he built himself. A turian frontiersman in the same vein as a old world explorer and fancies themselves a singer ((tone deaf)).

Well, we have 3 soldiers and 2 sentinels.  The great thing about these classes is that there can be plenty of them without worry as there is always a need for a straight up fight.  Plus each character, if you look at them, have unique personalities.  The one infiltrator that exists is an npc, there for story reasons, and there because there should always be recon, even if the characters do not fill that role.  All of your characters seem interesting to me, and I'd say if you want to become part of the soldier team lean one way, or if you like the idea of doing something different lean another.

There is a large interraction coming from Arcadia, I will get to it this evening, asap.  Wrote quite a bit today, no ragrats  But anticipate a detailed post within a few hours.

Okay!  So the proposal for Stormhammer is out there.  There's a game day of activity if you want it, tab covered at the club Aria hates  Do whatever your characters would like, or split.  In real time, either late tonight Eastern Standard Time, or early tomorrow, I'll post up about the next event, which will be meeting Arcadia at the suite being used by the merc company the next game morning.  Basically the idea is that you'll show up there to be hired on, and there will be some briefing, some interaction and some setup for mission.  But until then, please feel free to have fun wherever you'd like.  And Arcadia is hanging out at the table, nothing being eaten or drunk yet.  

Go crazy  But don't go arrested by C-Sec. Or do....and, well, that'll be a tough one!  But who am I to tell you what to do with your character...
