Okay, I'll write a brief transition post but the team getting the prototype is safely out of there.  There will be some rpg stuff you can all do with the band back at the hotel, but this will end up going back to Stormhammer headquarters.  The trick is that you won't be able to deal with examining the prototype fully until the band is gone, and that's going to be obvious during conversations with Aoide and Tolema.

So the solutions are up to you, and then of course there's Juric. One idea is that Juric and Tolema stick around after the band takes off.  And maybe Juric starts getting the idea that as awesome as the band is, he might find himself being pulled to do something more 'mercenary'  (see what I did there?).  That's probably the plan but feel free to offer other solutions.

Do you mean a whole new rp story?  I don't know.  The two here are going on as they are.  Maybe if you were going to rp a Spectre, you could start one of your own?  See if you could get some players to join, and roll with it.  

No limit to the number of rps in the forum.  I tried to start a different one and it went nowhere, then the others took off.

I just think, with the current RPs being so far along, it is rather... difficult, for people who are new to it to join in and do something useful.

I had the same difficulties with Chasing spectres, I joined a few months ago when the RP had about 110 pages and my characters are still a bit out of place ^^

But I think since Stormhammers is only at 16 pages, it might be still possible to get in without having missed too much of the story. And for CS; it might take some time to get into it now but it's certainly not impossible.

There's gonna be 2 more threads you'll want to probably make though. A character creation thread, for people to make their characters and such. And an OOC thread like this one, so people can chat and stuff.

 

I wish you good luck with your rp. It's always nice to see people who are interested in rping.

For Stormhammer, I am burnt out from some stuff going on irl.  Good news is other things are getting done by PM behind the scenes (as you can see in Chasing Spectres).  This I have to do a thoughtful post on, even if it isn't long, so will as soon as I get a break but that may not be immediately.  Point is, it will come and you should all feel free to rpg in the meantime.

Will get a post up tomorrow.  Basically the plan is to get everyone back to Stormhammer headquarters, where they can crash.  Alternatively, people will be able to crash at the hotel...no one will kick them out, but the band will be gone in a few hours.  Resolving that can happen in game.  After people get to rest, recover and shower, they'll meet back at HQ for Tolema to go over what's on the thumbdrive, and dum dum dum, the NEXT THING!

I worked on the Stormhammer  post first today because it needed some love.  Seriously, not fun.

Do most of you guys have "why am I here" jobs? Because when I was working I think I had like 2 to 3 hrs worth of work for 8 hrs and they wanted us to put in 10 hrs. a day to "look good." Of course we were "exempt." The biggest challenge was learning how to spread out that 2 hours to fill in the entire day so that when the boss came around I had something on my desk. I can only write so slowly.

Basically, I own my own business.  It's financial and it need monitoring.  So I have a lot of time at a desk with one screen open, or taking or making a call, and then dead time in between.  That's pretty fortunate in one sense, in another, I do what I do exactly for this reason and designed it that way.

Aside from that, though, when I'm inspired to write, I can produce a pretty torrid volume of stuff.  The only thing that stops me are work, when work does demand it, and total failures of forums and browsers, which I cannot tell you, stop me more from writing than any work interruption ever would.

I sell, and occasionally, perform light maintenance on used cars.  Wait, I meant to say 'Pre-owned'.

 

Nah. Used is the right word. You should see some of the crap I deal with sometimes. Like, literal crap. (Occasionally, I do find non-feces items in the trunks of old cars.)

 

I love my job, I really do.  Even if it doesn't always pay well. It's relatively low-stress, and hella easy. I basically have to bullsh*t with people until they hand me money. Paperwork kinda sucks, and so do test drives with stinky people.

 

I need to start filming some of the characters I deal with.  It's like I'm living in a damn movie, or something.

 

ETA: The big tax rush is over, and since everyone is kinda broke these days, business slows waaaaay down in the summer. I do a lot of sitting around in the office this time of year.  Not that I don't have other things to do, but it's much easier to slack now than it was a few months ago. It comes in waves.
