By the way, why did nobody tell me that I still haven't updated my characters' profiles, even though I said that I'd be doing that a few month ago...?

Lauren... it'll be fun. No combat experience. Think of her as a Samantha Traynor with guns and biotics. She's a bit uneasy with guns, even though she was technically a "Marine." She had basic then they put her into technical work appropriate to her degree. With more and more aliens coming to earth working in a lab studying alien diseases and their potential transmission to humans was important stuff. So she fired her guns for about six weeks total during basic. Don't expect any bad ass stuff from her, except in the science department.

 

Chris can feel free to hit on her anytime, though. Just remember, once you do, things become complicated.

Chris probably doesn't want to, although he usually wouldn't say 'no' to some fun, the evening with Aoide was enough for him, at least for now. Since then he feels like he's missing something.

I don't imagine Kurik is very good at poker. Mostly because his author has no idea how it works .

Yeah...it's okay. First I'm going to give Julia a bit of time to respond, and we can go back and forth at this...not that you want to, until when I write in a few hours (give or take) when if things are still going on, someone will intercede.

The important thing is that each character in the story be true to themselves and yet also find a way through this eventually.  I like the conflict in a way because it gets the characters deeper.  As long as it doesn't drive them away.
