I'm sittin' here like: I'm gonna write something. Our characters are about to walk all up in this concert, and it's gonna be stuff. And then I go to write, and I'm just like, skirrrrrrrrrt. Know what I mean?  

 

It's there, in my brain.  Like, I see it, you know? All this imagery and sh*t. It's almost like watching a movie. Aaaaand then there's not words. No words to type in the box. I don't have words to write in the description of things that are seen and all that. Yes.

 

Sometimes I will write something, but then I'll read over it, and something will read wrong. Kinda like when you read something, or say it enough times over and over, then you're like, what? That sounds funny. It makes sense when you say it, but when you read it it's like, f***ed or something. You know? I don't know. Kinda. Takes me awhile to post sometimes. Some real OCD type of sh*t. That's why. Also, life and such. That kinda thing.  Carpet. That's what I need. I'm moving, but I gotta buy carpet first, and that sh*t is expensive. Relatively. It's a rough economy.

 

I don't wanna move all my sh*t, just to have to move it again when I get new carpet, because moving sucks.  New house is literally two blocks down the street, so you'd think that would be like, easy as sh*t.  That just means you have less of a break on moving heavy sh*t! Pick up heavy sh*t, drop off heavy sh*t. Over and over.  Why do I have so much sh*t? Seriously. Nobody sits on this goddamn love seat.  Inferior ass couch.

 

My wife talked me into getting rid of my glorious leather couch for this futon.  Why did I ever agree to this? I miss my couch, guys. Seriously. My back hurts from this POS.

Okay Cknarf, got your pain.  First off, writing bad is okay, writing anything is okay.  Mostly we're not trying to write the great American novel here. We are just talking about what we do and stuff.  Sometimes it comes off brilliantly and sometimes it doesn't.  My version of what you are saying is I can't tie all my Iyana s**t together yet, and I forget this thing here or there to put in there for clues.  It is okay, though, swear, because hell it is just getting done.  You are doing fine, and if it looks wrong well hell, write it wrong and let an npc or player character try to figure it out, or the reader.  Everyone is cool and never feel you have to do anything, or hit some meter for writing or some such thing.

The rest?  It will all be over at one point and I say you gotta not let it get to you while it is going on.  It sucks, maybe, but it will be done. Good luck.  Oh, and PM for you.

Okay!  Here's what can be written:

1.  Naomi's been spotted and of course Tolema has her suspicions, but she's not going to say anything.  Yet at least, not until spoken to, maybe.  Naomi can deal with that however she wants.

 

2.  Darya will see Naomi, the krogan and the asari at the side stage exit stair area.  Remember, she put out a request by com for some direction as to where people were.  Now, this is a really loud concert.  So normally, you'd have to be shouting right next to someone to be heard.  Or not quite in the main concert hall (or backstage where the sound is not directly focused).  Some communication devices allow for the transmission or receiving of messages even under such conditions, but I leave that up to you to decide if your characters have such gear when not wearing things like helmets.  If you do have such gear, you can talk to and hear each other in the concert hall.  Otherwise, like most people, you have to get to someone to get through to them.

3.  Menos, Kurik, Chris and Arcadia can get inside now.  Kurik you...lol that's what I have to say.  Anyway, everybody has a good excuse to get in that hall now so they should.

4.  Juric, you may interact as you see fit.  I saw your post so probably you'll waif for a reply but I am sure one is coming.

I just realized Kurik jacked that turian's datapad like it wasn't no thing. The way people leave them laying around in the ME universe, they can't be worth that much, right?

@Cknarf: I know how that feels (at least the part about the writing  ), I always perfectly know what to write but then I realize that I still have to translate that sh*t and I scrap most of my ideas because of that. What I post is often OK, for my standards it's sometimes even very good. But it especially hurts because I'm actually really good at writing and handling the language- but not in english

In my last post I'm assuming the Tomela didn't follow Juric and is still in the main hall.

Yes, correct, but let me clarify some setup.  Tolema is near enough and surrounded by enough people that I don't necessarily recommend 'mugging' her or some other act of violence, where as distracted as the crowd is, likely someone would notice and then there'd be problems.  Some avenues I'd say could work (and I don't want to limit these based on all of your own creativity):

1.  You now have your target, so she could be followed from the show.  The risks here is that she does not leave alone, or that however she leaves, somehow she loses her tail.  All of your characters are capable people so I'm telling you the risks more so your characters could contemplate them.

2.  A more diplomatic approach can be taken, 'befriending' Tolema and/or Juric.  Basically this is a harder route but potentially more fruitful.  First, there's got to be a good story, or enough of a generation for affinity to gain a minimal amount of trust.  In this case, the people involved are 'embedding' themselves with Tolema and whoever is with her, possibly the band.  

3.Something else.  I don't have all the ideas  Something could come out of the conversation with Juric, for example, leading to another avenue of resolution.

A couple of things to keep in mind:  This asari, Tolema, is very likely the rider, like 99% sure.  There's like maybe a 1% chance she's not though.  Another thing, her motive isn't knows.  It certainly can be presumed but it is still not known.  And, I will say this...and this is a bit meta-game here but I should mention it ahead of time:  Public displays of violence are not a recommended route for a number of reasons, most of all which that by the time this whole thing is done, the goal is to have Juric come to the point where he's going to join your group.  That becomes a lot less easy if he's forced to defend Tolema. 

Okay, I kind of trust you guys so that last part is probably unnecessary.  Anyway, please write away.

Kurik, get off your leather couch, get your datapad back, exchange contact info if you'd like, and get into the concert!  You too Menos!

Here, at this point presume everyone is inside.  Arcadia, Chris, Menos and Kurik might have to find people, but Darya can spot them and she already told them where she is.  People may want to split up so as not to seem like a goon squad, or perhaps they want to come off as a group of people who came together, but that's going to take a good story.  A better story if Kurik is walking around like a soldier, and not pretending to enjoy the music at least.  

Naomi (Maj0nese) and Juric (J.Ezra) I will leave to dialogue together, and I'll have Tolema interject when appropriate.  The concert will be over soon, there's like one or two songs left.

SO! So basically I PM'd Maj0nese with some super secret behind the scenes rp stuff.  Naomi has a chance to figure out what Tolema is talking about, and we'll see if I dropped enough subtle hints for the correct answer. 

In the meantime, Darya would spot Naomi heading to the back room with Juric, and then Tolema follow.  Others may notice too, depending on where you want to locate your characters. 

Juric is properly wondering why Tolema is asking her question.  It could be Tolema thinks it is just another fan trying to see the band, but then why is she asking for something that would confirm 'Michelle's' fandom or the fact that she was there?

Okay, I'll set more scene when I get the chance soon.  But feel free to interact as you see fit too.  It would be hard to bust in on Naomi's scene. At the same time, should she really be alone?

Hah, that was not the answer, Maj0nese.  Don't worry, I probably didn't drop enough clues and so don't blame you.  The situation is that Tolema doesn't believe Naomi, but there isn't anything she can do about it right now because of Aoide.  Now becomes the tough part of how does Naomi get her friends over to where she is.  And what's she going to say about them when they show up.  Remember, though it doesn't have to stay this way, Naomi is behind a door right now that Darya saw her go through, but is currently out of sight. 

Feel free to write the challenges of being in the concert.  Kurik is going through the middle.  Bold play, turian, bold play.  Good thing you have that red spray paint on your armor, or you might have been a target for a crowd surf....

Narrative on the encore coming up.  Plus to give people a little bit more time to post.

Edit:  Basically I PMd Maj0nese with the names of three songs Naomi would just happen to know from the band, and allow a guess as to which one Tolema was referring to.  It didn't work out, but it was a fun try, and nothing is irreparable out of the missed opportunity.  You guys will be okay.

Okay, so if you want to end up with Naomi, you should get your character located near her by the end of the song.  Because after that you won't have a chance to hang out with Tolema, Juric and the band directly (not to say you should, if you want to be clandestine and follow them and stuff, but you are then on the outside, not the inside).

I hate weekends.  I hate them so much.  My weekends have more work in them than my busiest work week.  I hate fake holidays as well, like 'Good Friday' but let's not get too heavily into that.  Point is I have a lot to do and I can't do it yet.  The next Stormhammer post takes a bit of work so when I get to it I will.  Make sure your character is locate where you want them is all.  I have lots to do for Chasing Spectres which will follow.  Right now I am exhausted and need a break before I do this, but I will get to it.
