Juric gave Tolema a warm smile, or at least the closest thing a Krogan could get to a genuine smile. He placed his hand on her should,  "Tolema, I'm not putting this all on you. If you think running with this group is the safer bet then that's what we will do. Together." he pulled his hand back, slightly embarrassed at his own show of tenderness.

"Working as a merc again should bring back fond memories. Well, fond could be giving them to much credit." Juric had slipped back into his usual joking manner in an attempt to move past the rare display of affection. "So, you ready for the wonderful world of  mercenary work? Did they even ask us to join or is this one of those you kinda just...make them ask us?" he grinned as he teased the asari but he did wonder if Tolema had spoken to the blue haired woman. He thought about what she'd said at the end though, did he want to go back to the band? The thrill of getting the prototype was more exhilarating then all the shows he'd had to stand idle at combined. He would think on it later, as for now it would be interesting to see if the group even want to two of them.

"I actually wanted to grab our gear first..."

Chris rolled his eyes. "We can still do that later...what's your problem?", he wanted to know when he and Naomi entered the Stormhammer headquarter.

"I...would just feel better with my armor...", she replied with a frown.

Her answer caused Chris to laugh and turn back to his sister. "Are you serious?", he asked in disbelief. "Okay, what is it? You look quite nervous..."

"Nervous? What? No, I'm definitely not!" But the tone of her voice proved that statement to be a lie.

Without understanding Chris shook his head and turned around. The twins entered the lobby and to their surprise, all of the team members were still there. Chris headed towards Cadi and Kuric, while Naomi remained close to the entrance and stared to the ground. When Kuric, who apparently just got up to leave the building, went past her, she looked up. "Glad to see you're back from the dead. I guess the party you were on was more fun than ours", she scoffed, giving the turian a wink.

Then she spotted the remaining half of Darya's pizza and even though she had eaten breakfast only a few minutes ago, Naomi was already tempted to take a piece, the appetizing smell didn't make things easier.

In the meantime Chris approached Cadi. "We're in...", he just said with a broad grin that faded slightly when he added: "At least for this mission, I don't know what happens afterwards. But we're in on this one, that's something. So...is there anything for us to do until we leave the Citadel?"

Darya noticed Naomi eyeing the remaining pizza. "Go ahead, Naomi. If I eat any more i won't fit into my armor," she laughed.

"We'll make them ask us," Tolema said to Juric with a wink."

In the end, it wasn't either side that was forced to compromise.  Simply a meeting of the minds.  Arcadia understood that it was best for Tolema to lay low, that she and Juric had the skills to be useful, and certainly that Stormhammer could use them.  There were details to go over, but though Tolema and Juric would enter straight into a combat mission, it didn't feel quite as if they were really unknowns.  The encounter they had all experienced together left a bonding between most of the members that went deeper than shared words.

The meeting of the day concluded with the optimistic pursuit of Menos' equipment upgrade, Chris and Naomi signing on for at least one more mission go, the addition of Juric and Tolema, Arcadia getting an eyeful of much more than she ever expected from Kuric's personal photo log, and pizza.  A couple of days at the Citadel before embarking turned out to be more than adequate for any odds and ends that had to be covered.  Stormhammer headquarters changed significantly on the day prior to leaving, with military containers and crates organized for pickup and the disassembly of the briefing room.  Arcadia did much of the heavy lifting, along with Kamau who remained mostly enigmatic and said nothing.  Anyone who would lend a hand was welcome to.  The one man who did not make an appearance was Major Reith, who was perhaps distracted with other matters of the company.

On the day of departure, the HQ was the initial meeting point for everyone, and was where Arcadia uploaded boarding pass information and checked to see if anyone had last minute requests.  Stormhammer's offices looked barren, as it seemed nearly everything had been taken that could be necessary.  Transportation was provided outside in the form of three black, heavy skyvans that would carry the team in security and comfort.

Arrival at the dock was direct, the vehicle putting down near the Lucky Seven, which was certainly a standard small freighter with atmospheric capabilities.  A certain character about the vessel stood out, however.  It's long, curved upper hull was marked over time by its regular reentries like the worn surface of an old piece of furniture someone loved.  Part of the wear was across the emblem of a black number '7' in Rio Grande font, outlined in white.  Yet the vessel gave the appearance of something worthy, proven over time, the reliable transport you wanted to be on if things went to hell in a hand basket.

As the skyvans moved in for a landing, the stacked crates and pallets of Stormhammer stood out, lined up along the dock next to standard supplies being brought on board.  Once out of the headquarters, it was evident that the spare military gear and operationa equipment of the company was more substantial than what was seen at the HQ. One crate in particular loomed ominously above the others, not being a regulation size for supplies.

Crew for the ship was at work getting everything loaded, and it was clear that there was no one dominant species as part of it.  Once the members of Stormhammer got out of the vans, however, they noticed all crew seemed to share the same sort of dialect, which seemed to be some form of English that had a slang, or accent that was rather peculiar.  It was processed perfectly fine through the translators for those who didn't normally speak it, but even the translators carried a bit of whatever distinct nature the dialect had.

Nobody paid the Stormhammer much attention until a quarian came around a stack of crates and put her fists on her hips.  She was wearing a traditional suit, black with some white highlights, adorned with some odd modifications such as a six pointed silver star badge, and a chain wrapped around the waist with a large black '7' in the same font as the emblem hanging from it.

"Ya'all get up in there," the quarian said. "I'm Sally, this is my ship, and we're doing a straight shoot to Parasc.  Welcome aboard!"

With a smirk Naomi turned to her brother. "Didn't expect a quarian...", she whispered. "Guess I'll have to hold back with my jokes about quarians as long as we're on the ship..."

Chris didn't comment on that, he just sighed and shook his head, before walking over to Sally. "Well, nice to meet you", he approached the quarian. "I just hope you plan to do a few stops an planets where it's nice and sunny..."

In the meantime Naomi approached Juric. "I just hope you have that asari under control", she said to the krogan, loud enough for Tolema to hear. "Just in case she feels the need to rescue some salarian girls or steal some high-tech prototype technology from a high-security transport..." It was hard to say if Naomi was joking or not.

Darya was getting used to no one in the group paying much attention to her, after all no one ever paid any attention to Darya even when she was right about everything. That was one of the things that really annoyed her commanding officers, so she learned to keep her mouth shut most of the time. But she was a Lt. Commander and had to lead most of the time, but still no one listened much. She’d go over the mission orders and tactics and people would just do their own thing. She really never understood why either. Perhaps it was her demeanor? Then one day, she stopped caring about it. That was the day her superior officers started caring about it. And then her seven years were up and she left. Just like that.

She did odd jobs for a while, but those didn’t pay well, and then Stormhammer was hiring so she joined hoping that maybe things might be different. But things are the same here. Then she remembered a saying…. “If you ran into an assh*le in the morning, you ran into an assh*le. If you ran into assh*les all day long, you’re the assh*le.” So she figured the latter must be the case. This is why she kept to herself mostly. She needed a paycheck. She figured if she did her job and followed orders she’d collect one.

Then she saw the quarian swagger around the stack of crates. The Quarian looked like she was trying to be a cowgirl Quarian. Even the ship screamed “Western” with its name “Lucky Seven.” And her name….

Darya almost laughed. “Sally?”

"All right!" Tolema said rolling her eyes as much surrendering to the criticism as showing her exasperation.  "All right.  I can see I won't be living this down anytime soon."  She threw a subtle smirk at Naomi before moving away to avoid any further dressing down through sarcasm.

The quarian captain watched the interaction between Tolema and Naomi with curiosity, not understanding exactly what was behind it, but then was caught by Darya's mention of her name as a question.  "That's my name, hon, don't wear it out."

Sally really did say that.

"This here's my ship and I love her to pieces," Sally went on, walking towards the vessel some.  As she moved, there was a jingle apparent in her booted steps which drew attention to her footwear; a pair of high black leather boots with spurs.  Spurs!  With her side turned, Sally also revealed a low slung black gun belt with a heavy pistol mag holstered into it.  With admiration, she started talking about her ship, in her southern accent that sounded like it had no place coming out of a quarian.  "I'm just telling you now, I'm a bit sensitive about my darlin' Lucky Seven.  We been through a lot, so neither she nor I take kindly to a disparaging word said about her.  She's gonna get you where your going in comfort, and while we don't make it a point of arming to the teeth like a warship, my Lucky Seven has a hell of a mule kick!  Never had any situation I couldn't get her out of and that includes Duellos."

With a turn of her visored helm, Sally used her hands for emphasis.  "We're all of us Duellos exiles.  That planet went straight to the Devil's maw before those asari went and put our old town to glass.  They say it'll come back but not in my time.   Point is, we're gonna be close on this little journey and I'm kind of looking forward to it.  Got me a band o' mercs in my hold.  Cooking's good, for what you could expect in space.  I just gotta make it clear that on there, I'm the law.  Any problem with that you best let me know now so we can sort it out."

"I fail to see why any of us would object to your terms." Kurik spoke up. "If you, or a member of your crew should require assistance for any reason, please, do not hesitate to ask. Consider it our way of saying thanks in exchange for your services." He inclined his head slightly, before walking on.

Darya walked up the ramp with her duffle bag and gear. She traveled light. And turned around before entering the ship. "Sally, does the ship have a gym or anything like that?"

Sally leaned forward as if to make sure Kuric, Darya and the others were clear about who was in charge.  Then she suddenly leaned back and chuckled.  "I'm pullin' your donkey tails!  Sure there's rules but anybody tells you I'm wound up tight is tellin' you a swack-up.  Come on in, I'll give you a quick tour of the ship.  It ain't hard, but it's a good idea to know where everything is."

With a quick, spur jingled bootstep, Sally moved up ahead of Kuric and waived the Stormhammer members on.  "On the topic of a gym, we make due.  It ain't being used for cargo, so you've got hold three we've got as a bit of a public space.  It's got some equipment in there, some other things we improvised, but if you got to keep in shape, take turns and that's where you do it.  Only thing we ain't got all set is lifting for a krogan."  Sally gave a flip of her head to Juric.  "But we got some bars, and some crates.  I bet we can muster something up, suits your needs."

Sally brought anyone who wanted to come for a quick tour to the main ramp lowered from the back of the Lucky Seven to an extended gangway.

The ramp up the aft of the Lucky Seven was wide, meant to accommodate the largest kind of cargo the ship could hold in its rear bay.  It was also the location of the two shuttles the ship had on board, though it seemed when they launched, smaller doors on the port and starboard sides were used.  The primary passageway running the length of the ship on the current deck was fore of the bay, and proved to be rather narrow, allowing roughly two abreast (or one krogan).  Aside from a couple of modest elevators at the mid-point of the ship on either side of the passageway, decks were accessed by ladder.  It seemed much of the capacity on either side of the vessel was dedicated to its secondary bays, and for a while, it seemed as if the tight passageway ran the entire length, until Sally opened a hatch for everyone to pass through.

Nearly two thirds of the length of the small freighter, the dedication to room and capacity changed.  "The fore third of this ship are where you'll be spending your time, as its where quarters are.  Up a deck is everything operational, down here is where we do our living."  Sally was speaking and using her arms to gesture to the chamber on the other side of the hatch.  It was a large galley and common living area where people could eat, socialize and relax.  Most of the furnishings seemed old, but clean and very home like, down to the plush armchair in front of a video screen and a coffee table that looked like it was made of real wood.  A sturdy card table was a bit of a standout, as well as a quaint wet bar, and even an ancient jukebox-like contraption complete with colored lights.  There were several hatches off the room, and one was open revealing a comfortable cabin beyond.

"Wash rooms over there," Sally went on, "And you're free to wander the ship, but you need my permission to go into engineering, on the bridge, or to a hard point.  And you gotta have a crew with you if you're in a cargo hold with property that ain't yours.  Now I hear some of you got some special requests, so if you don't like what I done, ask now so I can change 'fore we leave.  And blame Miss Arcadia over there instead of me."

Cadi smirked.  "Thanks, Sally."

"'Course I'm joking!  Was your thinking ahead that helps me try to make the trip comfortable as possible."

Sally brought Naomi and Chris to one of the larger cabins.   It was split down the middle with a thick, hanging curtain and set up with one bed each against opposite walls.  "You both can share a cabin if it makes you feel better, with a bit of privacy."  Sally then went over to another cabin which was almost as large, but with oversized and reinforced furnishing.  "That's for Mister Juric.  Hope it fits yer style."  She then turned to the rest.  "Everybody's got space enough for their own cabin, if you like.  That's how we're set up now.  We'll be leaving shortly, once we're fully loaded."

One of the crewmen, an older man perhaps in his sixties, tall with unkempt hair and a bit of a belly, ducked through a hatchway and into the chamber.  "Captain, thought you might like to know, this docking area's getting a bit more crowded.  There's a Spectre and her sister ship just put in."

"Them self-important types, Harry?  Just one more reason to get us going."

"Well....you might know a few of 'em, as it turns out.  Here, take a look at some snooping I done through the Loading Master's office."

The man handed a datapad to Sally, who scrolled through it.  "Let's see, Harry, you got no names....but this is who's...hmmmn....that's kind of a big coincidence.  I thought all them people helped us was with a turian Spectre."

"Yes, ma'am.  But it might be worth looking into."

Sally seemed to weigh a thought or two.  "Maybe.  If we got the time.   Nice find, Harry.  Anyhow, the rest of you, whistle if you need anything at all.  We aim to please."  There was no telling if the quarian captain was smiling, but she did a bit of a curtsey and tilted her head playfully to the side.

"Pfff, privacy...as if I ever had any privacy with you around", Chris muttered in a low voice so only his sister could hear him.

Naomi lost no time to claim one of the beds by jumping on it and leaning back. "You should really relax a bit for once", she said while crossing her arms behind her head. "We just get to this planet, finish the job with the tame vorcha, and as soon as we're back on the Citadel, we'll have some concrete information about mom's whereabouts."

"So you trust him?", Chris wanted to know and leaned against the wall next to the door.

"Trust who?"

"Our father!" His voice was full with contempt. Maybe his sister tried to stay in contact with this Simon Tyler but Chris wasn't going to trust this man, it didn't matter that Naomi was thinking that he could help the twins. Naomi already told him the story that their father had told her before but Chris didn't want to believe a single word of it. This man probably just lied to make him look less like the piece of sh*t he was.

"I don't know...", Naomi replied with a shrug but Chris knew that that was a lie. One thing that really annoyed him was that Naomi really seemed to believe this man. During the last few days he often spotted her writing messages on her omni-tool and even without asking he knew that she was writing with their father. And the worst thing; it really seemed to help her.

After the disappearance of their mother, Chris always expected Naomi to collapse like she did on the parking lot of the hotel a few days ago. But after talking to their father, she suddenly seemed to be...calm. Unusually patient. And friendly to everyone around her, except for Cadi who she still tried to avoid whenever possible. The changes were only small and probably noone else would notice them but Chris knew her sister well enough to note the slight differences in her behavior. Although he didn't share his sister's hope to find their mother, in the end it was a relief to see her completely relaxed for a change...

"You're asleep?"

For a second Chris stared at Naomi, then he shook his head and scratched the back of his head. "No, I was thinking. You should try it sometime..." He ducked to avoid being hit by the pillow that his sister tossed after him. Then he turned to leave the cabin. "Well, if you're done throwing things at me, we could find out what the others are doing."

Menos had kept his mouth shut most of the time, finding it better to observe oddities then to directly confront them. Case in point, the quairan with the cowboy fetish, based off her black clothing and earth based period piece clothing. The accent didn't help much in dissuading his nickname he was using to remember her, finding "sally" too bland to keep in mind.

"So...Sabata over there seems nice enough..." He muttered to Darya as he stood next to her, calling their quarian captain after the name of one of the many Spaghetti Western characters he knew of, not to mention her black attire and unreadable expression, "I think I like her tastes, at least..." He said, curious if she knew much about westerns or not, or how much.

Darya was a bit blown away with the old west schtick. This is going to be interesting. She tapped 'Zabata' into her omni-tool and got the result, smiled and finally spoke to someone. "Yeah, Menos, Sabata.... I mean what could be any better? A ship with a Quarian captain? They know their way around ships that is one thing for sure. And she seems to be a friendly sort. I just never met one named Sally before, but what do I know? It could be Sal'li or spelled some strange way and she just made it Sally to be friendly for business? Or it could be her name. Sally ____ vas Lucky 7 nar ____. I love Quarian names. They have a history to them.

"Now Sabata goes back a couple centuries, hombre."

Major Reith entered the living area, a characteristic cigar in his mouth.  Arcadia stepped to the side and they briefly talked amongst themselves.  When done Reith gave a nod to the team, then gestured for Kamau and Vihaan to follow him.  The two went into what would be Reith's cabin, Vihaan bringing a stack of three datapads with him.

Cadi turned to the others.  "We're heading out.  The Captain had a last minute task that held us up a bit, but get settled for the liftoff.  Once we're on our way to the relay, I hear there's a card game starting around her."  She then winked mischievously.  "For money, so if you're feint of heart, you might just want to stay out of this one."

~ ~ ~ ~

"That sure is them," Sally said to Harry.  "I'd have a chat with 'em if I could, but we've busted too much time as it is.  Put the coals to the fire and let's get my girl in the sky!"

"You ain't gotta say it twice," Harry replied.  "Helm, open the barn door!"

Sally went to a terminal on the bridge and typed out a message, meant for distribution to all the people who'd helped on Duellos:

To:  Janiri, Medusa - all members who helped the townspeople on Duellos
From:  Lucky 7 - Sally, Captain of the best little freighter you'll ever set eyes on

Ya'all have a safe trip.  This here ship and crew is alive because of you and there ain't one day goes by we don't think about it.  Good luck, wherever it is you're headed and may you get there across lots.

P.S. You ever need a hand, ol' Sally's got your back!

Darya received a call on her omni-tool. "Sh*t! Sorry guys, that was my father. My mother is in the hospital. She's dying. I have to head back to Earth."

She grabbed her duffel back and left the Lucky 7 in a hurry.

********

Moments later huffing and puffing a young woman with purple hair carrying her own duffel bag was running toward the ship. She nearly knocked Darya  over as she stumbled up the ramp. "Wait! Is this where I find Stormhammer? The assistant at the office said you're heading out on a mission?"

Lauren stepped into the living area and dropped her duffel bag and reached out to shake hands. "Sorry, I'm Lauren Keach. Sorry I'm late, but my commercial shuttle just got here from Earth not more than an hour ago. You know how space traffic is nowadays, they had us circling for another hour waiting to dock. I almost missed you. Tell me I'm on the right ship, please?"

"That depends...", Naomi began with an innocent smile but Chris already knew what she was up to and he look at her reproachfully. Naomi ignored him and approached the young woman with the purple hair. "We're on vacation, you know? This ship's going to visit a nice tropical planet where it's always sunny and hot, so we can relax for a while before going back to business. Feel free to join, the more people we are, the more fun it's going to be." She gave Lauren a wink.

Her brother didn't say anything, just rolled his eyes and looked away. This situation was quite unexpected, Darya suddenly left and then this young woman appeared. It somehow felt as if Darya had been replaced by Lauren...After pondering over it for a moment, Chris dropped that thought. No, it was probably just a conincidence.

Juric looked about his cabin, examining his surroundings. He gingerly sat down on the bed despite Sally's words about it all being reinforced. "Hmmm" he muttered to himself, still slightly surprised the bed didn't give way. Better then most places he though as he got back up, packing away what little equipment he'd brought with him before heading back into the main living space. It honestly was better then some of the places he'd been forced to stay in back on planets such as Omega, or even His own home planet of Tuchanka. Neither of those two had been build for comfort though so the bar hadn't been set very high.

Walking back towards the others he paused for a second, noticing that Darya had gone and there was now another human, talking with Naomi about something. Walking up to Chris he looked down at the human with a questioning look, wondering if he knew who the newcomer was.

"Damn! I forgot to pack my swim suit. I suppose I could pick up one when we get there," Lauren said, and then noticed the look in Naomi's eyes and sighed. "You were joking weren't you? And I fell for it. It's what happens when you're cooped up in a lab for three years."

The others were giving her some strange looks by this time. And she opened her weapons cases displaying her shotgun, SMG and pistol. "I know how to use these. I really do. I had training. Granted it was about four years ago. And I really need this job. I spent all my credits to get here. Please don't kick me off the ship. Here, I can do this, see?" she took out a ball and held it in her hand and levitated it with biotics.

"I know it's not much, but you really don't want me smashing through a bulkhead on this ship for a demonstration. By the way who was that woman leaving? She didn't look too happy. So am I in?"

Arcadia laughed with her eyes, even though her voice was business like.  "You know you're in, Lauren.  Stow your gear and grab a seat. We're taking off."

On the bridge of the Lucky 7, the automated moorings were cast away from the freighter.  Harry instructed the pilot.  "Take her out easy, Alex."

"We didn't get one reply from either the Janiri or the Medusa?"  Sally inquired of Harry.  "Damn if I don't say my suited heart ain't hurt just a bit.  Those two ships are just above us, still docked, yeah?"

"Yeah," Harry answered, with concern.

"Give 'em both a rumbler."

Harry wiped his hair back.  "Sally, we're two bills deep in tickets for unconventional maneuvers.  It's a cost."

"Only if you pay them bills.  Both already hit the collections agencies, yeah?  You see me in a rush to pay them bills?"

"No, Sally, but darn if them things don't catch up to us.  Gonna get some traffic cop to come tapping."

"Come on, Harry!  Ain't ne'er been a traffic cop 'ol Sally couldn't sweet talk.  Besides, we're doing a service for the galaxy."

"What service is that?"

"Quit yer yappin' Harry.  Alex, do what yer Captain tells ya."

"Aye, Sally."

The Lucky 7 drifted upwards from where she was docked, or outward towards the edge of the Citadel.  She was innocent, using minimal thrusters to lazily pass by the Medusa first, with a course that would take her just near the Janiri as well.  Lucky 7 was close enough for a direct visual out the bridges of both ships, and her emblem was aimed for full view.

Then, as she snuck up on the Medusa, Sally gave the final command.

"Let the horses out of the barn, Alex!"

The Lucky 7 went to full thrust, burning it's eezo engine in maximum acceleration.  She blasted by both the Medusa and the Janiri on her way to the relay.

"Well, I'll be fucked! Kurik fuckin' Trudas?"

So close to peace and quiet...

Kurik closed his eyes, and let out a sigh upon hearing the familiar voice. He moved his hand away from the door controls.

"Jakowski..."

A seasoned looking human in repainted Blue Suns armor made his way over.

"What are you doin' here you uptight motherf*cker?" He punched Kurik in the shoulder, looking up at the turian who stood a whole foot taller. "With a new outfit, huh?"

"Aren't you supposed to be dead?" Kurik asked. sounding a little less than amused at the sudden appearance of an old coworker who had supposedly died on Duellos.

"Cold as ever." The man chuckled. "That's what I always liked about you."

"But nah, man. Me 'an my squad bailed out when that Archangel ****** and his boys were doin' their thing. Ended up on that pisshole Duellos for a little bit, doin' some freelance stuff." The man shrugged. "I'm the only one left."

"Lucky me."

"You wanna know some sh*t though? Fuckin', you remember Riko, right?"

Kurik nodded.

"Got his ass wasted by a fuckin' jellyfish."

"How did..." Kurik was intrigued by the thought of a hanar taking someone out.

"Got my nose broke too, see?" The man turned, and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Ha. Yeah. First night we was there, we went out drinkin'. Started hittin' on this redhead, right? BAM! Crazy b*tch cracked me across the face with some ancient fuckin' weapon. Out like a fuckin' light." He rubbed at his nose again. "At least that's what the boys told me."

This is going to be a long trip...

Lauren stashed her gear next to her bed and took a tour of the ship. She hadn't been on many ships before, in fact this was her first time off Earth. The only aliens she'd met in her life were from a distance on Earth. Her first direct encounter was with the Asari flight attendant on the shuttle, and they had quite a bit of difficulty understanding each other, but the Asari helped her download the latest update of universal translation software. The version the UNAS used was a bit out of date, and had made for some rather humorous exchanges before things were corrected.

She made her way up to the flight deck and ran into Sally who was dressed in her western garb and seemed to be the one everyone was taking orders from. Lauren approached in a friendly manner. "Hey, I guess you're the captain of this ship. Quite nice. I like it. Oh, we haven't met. I'm Lauren. I'm a xenobiologist, but believe it or not this is my first time off Earth, and you are the first Quarian I've met.... I'm honored to meet you."

Sally had been laughing though her first mate Harry didn't seem so humored.  When Lauren came up, Sally put a hand up, though her voice was equally as friendly.  "Easy bronco, no one on the bridge without asking first.  I like your amicable manner though, and am pleased to be giving you a ride, fine lady."

The quarian captain's spurs jingled as she stepped up to Lauren.  "Come on with me, anyway.  There ain't nothing to see up here anymore but Harry changing his shorts.  Says you I'm the first quarian you've met?"  Sally chuckled.  "Tell you right now, don't be planting my stamp on the rest of my kind.  I'm a bad apple, round the migrant fleet."

Beckoning Lauren closer, Sally put an arm around her shoulders and walked with her.  "You and your Stormhammer group needs to get themselves around a dinner table, and it'll be my pleasure to dine with you this eve.  A couple of your people seem to be a bit stiff, though I suppose there's nothing wrong with that being you're all soldier types.  Still, gonna stir up some grub, kick it back with some coffee maybe, then break out the cards.  You in?"
