I love the scene were Sera takes the Inquisitor out on the roof and tells you about cookies. I thought you could only get that to trigger if you were in a relationship with her. But I've seen screenshots of male inquisitors on the roof with her and someone on reddit said it was also be a friendship quest but didn't explain how.

 

Is it possible to get this scene without being in a relationship with her? Do I just need high enough approval? Or flirt with her at least once?

 

I'm on my second playthrough and never got this scene in my first. But I really love it and would love to trigger it if possible.

Would like to know as well...! I flirted with her, have a well approval with her as will I think, I hope I will get this...

Both of my human male inquisitors were able to become friends with Sera and spend roof time with her. This is even without them agreeing with everything she did. One of them flirted with her once but the other one didn't flirt with her. My first female IQ never got the roof scenes with Sera but I think my current female will get roof scenes even though she has never flirted with Sera. 

 

Added: Taking her to fight dragons raised her approval, I think.

It is! I didn't even know there were roof scenes because my human female never got them and then I play my human male and the next thing I know she's inviting him to the roof...it's like they were the bestest of friends and it was such a surprise to me. 

 

Same thing happened to my characters with Viv.

She was neutral to one female, so she didn't get the special "decorating" scene, then she really liked my first male character so she loved his decorating   but on this next male, she can't stand him and insults his decorating. The key with that one was that the first male went the templar route...all my other characters go the mage route so she'll never like them (and none of them like her).  ​

You can get the cookie cutter quest regardless of your relationship with her as long as you have enough approval.
