- The return of playable races & the addition of Qunari
- More high dragons
- The return of the ability to talk to your party members whenever you want to.
- More romance options (even if it is going to take me forever to get through all of them)
- The ability to move around while firing arrows instead of being rooted in one spot
- Jumping!
- Beautiful environments.

The armor generally looked pretty cool yet practical. That's always nice.

-Beautiful, varied levels. After years and years of Bioware making glorified corridors this is such a breath of fresh air.
-Crafting system is solid. It just needed dyes, and we get dyes, so I'm happy.
-Characters and banter, as usual.
-The dragons are awesome. Much better than Skyrim's.
-The specialisations actually matter this time around.
-Solas, Flemeth and everything about the ancient elves, is the best lore in the series to date. DA sorely needed something like that.
-The previous character's roles/camoes are well handled. Leliana, Morrigan, Hawke, Varric, etc., none of them feel out of place.
-Armor looks pretty great. Only thing we lack is craftable heavy plate, hopefully Black Emporium has schematics of those.

Indeed Dragons are great. I also loved the few darkspawn, there is something about those pointy armors that I love to hit them hard.

It's all in the animation quality, for dragons. Those in Skyrim felt like giant mockingbirds, the way they made 180 degree turns in flight and never knocked you down even when landing. Those in Inquisition animate really beautifully, fly like a 10 ton lizard ought to fly, and knock your characters around. I also really like the animation when they begin the fight, raking the ground with their claws and bellowing, wings spread. Makes for a very intimidating sight, and if anything should look intimidating, it's a freaking dragon.

Some of the cinematics, music and writing at dramatic moments were sensational. As good as any movie.

I like holding off Darkspawn for two days.
I prefer holding off snowdrifts.

Absolute beauty of so many areas. Suledin at Emprise du Lion... the view from Caer Oswin with the banners floating in the wind... Emerald Graves, like a green dream... flowers and trees under the sun of the Hinterlands... waters shining at Val Royeaux... the sea rolling at the Storm Coast under the rain...
Orlesian masks. Finally some helmets that make you look better, not worse.
Thousand cuts raining over a dragon. Epic.
Dagna.
Solas and Iron Bull playing mental chess like two dashing nerds.
Elven lore, elven gods, elven mysteries. Strange frescos everywhere, telling stories we don't yet understand.
Lavellan discovering the truth about ancient elves, then vallaslin, with this sadness in her voice.
Haven, and the glorious events there. "Cause I have seen the throne of the gods..."
And so much more.

1. War table missions
2. The Storm Coast. I mean, I've actually just stood there and watched waves roll in.
3. Elfy stuff, which I never paid much attention to before but is now super important. Bioware did a great job pulling in the lore from the previous two games.
4. Wicked Grace (Please, Bioware, make some rules and start selling decks of cards.)
5. Armor and weapon crafting
6. The dialogue wheel works really well
7. The return of scary darkspawn!
8. Combat animations
9. There's nothing I like better in any video game I've ever played than In Your Heart Shall Burn. From closing the breach to reaching Skyhold it's just one magnificent scene after another.

What about the large wall mosaics you find in some elven temples, shining in the dark when you get close with a torch. The first time I approached one I stayed 15 minutes just taking screenshots they are amazing.
This is medium-low graphics quality and already looks good.

Alistair, Anora, Hawke, Dagna, Loghain, Leliana (though I hate her new personality), Cassandra, Corypheusu... Pretty much all the cameo characters. If they appeared in a previous DA game, or dlc/expansion, and they also make an appearance in DAI, then I love the game for it. Not trying to be negative, but the cameos of past characters were the only thing I liked.

Cole's hat
Cassandra's disgusted noise
Varric's smutty literature
Vivienne's furniture removal services
Sera's journal
Solas' paintings
Dorian's moustache
Josephine's winning streak (leading to Cullen's losing streak)
Leliana's threats of bodily harm
Lots of squeaky nugs! And a nuggalope!

No love for the story itself? The debate sparked by the ending alone is greater than I have seen from any game ending in a long time. While the game is flogged for it's ambiguous choices and lack of consequence for actions taken, the story underneath it all was entertaining and and even further beneath that the continued ground work for the underlying plot for the whole series continues to grow.
If a game has left me wanting for more, it has some done more than one thing right. I'm saddened if the characters are the only good take away for some people; they are one of a 100 for me!

There's a lot I like about this game. Currently this one comes to mind:
Playing as an elf (particularly one romancing Solas) has been immensely rewarding and meaningful.

Oh, so much goodness...
- Getting completely duped by Blackwall my first play through
- Getting really, really duped by Solas my first play through -- my poor little elf! </3
- The entire What Pride Had Wrought quest. Totally loved it and I look forward to getting that quest in every play through. I could spend hours in the Temple of Mythal.
- Dragon fights!
- War table missions
- Sera constantly making me laugh
- Getting creative with crafting materials for armors and weapons and ending up with awesome stuffs!
- Allying with Druffy to close that rift with my under-leveled party. Druffy rules!
That's all I've got off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's more that I'll think of later. Love this game!

The companions-Varric, Dorian, Cassandra, Cullen, Vivienne, Solas - their quests, VO, graphics.
Blackwall's writing very well done.
Iron bull and Sera, Joesphine, Flemeth.
Bianca and Scout Harding.
Nice touches from the books: Michel de Chevin, Cole, Briala, Gaspard.
Cheese everywhere.

Sera's journal
I really dig the journal. I kind of wish that some of the other companions had a nice little touch like this. Cassandra, Varric and Dorian seem the type to keep something around that you can read, especially Dorian, the resident bookworm, and Varric, the guy who actually spends a lot of time writing stuff. I guess there's the scattered Hard in Hightown chapters that crop up here and there, but it's not the same.
