I suggest this thread for people who just need help to brainstorm some ideas in their fanfics or for people who have prompts for scenarios that they imagine but can't write due to language limitations. I'm French Canadian and always played DA games in English, so to me writing a fanfiction of this series should be in English to respect the original arts. Anyways, I came with a prompt the other day that was inspired with a dream I had. It goes as follows...
 

Vivienne from Dragon Age Inquisition rises to power after the Empress Celene gets mysteriously murdered. To win the following elections of the newly formed Council/Government as the President of Orlais, she hires Varric the Dwarf to be her personal therapist to learn how to seduce commoners as she wants to win their votes. It would be a comedy/mystery fiction which would paint Vivienne as an anti-heroine and Varric as the person investigating on whoever killed the Empress. I imagine this fanfic would be something like a Criminal Investigation / Comedy genre.

If someone here thinks this would make a good fanfiction and feels inspired by it, I allow them to try this challenge. They can change the genre if they want, make it something else. This is just a sypnopsis anyways. Feel free to share your own ideas, prompts or projects you'd wish to realize. You can also use this thread to ask help from beta readers.

If you don't mind I've been looking for some feedback for a one shot I've been writing based on this picture:



This is a snippet. It's in first person from Varric's POV.

"It's about Hawke."

The second I mentioned Hawke's name, any joy she felt from seeing me for the first time in a long time disappeared. She looked serious. Like she knew what was coming.
And I hadn't even mentioned Hawke's fate.

"****," I muttered to myself, unable to look her in the eye.

This was never going to be easy but...****.

Deep breath.

"Isabela...Hawke," I let out a sigh, lifting my gaze from the floor. It was now or never, this **** wasn't going to get any easier. "Hawke...Hawke is dead, Isabela."

You know that look people get on their faces when their whole world comes crumbling down?
You know the one: tears pooled in their eyelids, bottom lip quivering and everything about their expression screams "This **** can't possibly be happening"?

Well, it was happening. And I got to see that look again.
It was hard enough seeing it on Bartrand, and I can't stand him. But Isabela?

Maker's breath, it would've been easier to just send a letter.

Still...as she turned on her heel to hide the tears, I'm reminded that this isn't for me.
Isabela deserved to hear this in person. I owe her that much. And hopefully having someone to punch might make things easier for her. Hopefully.

Solas/Lavellan fiction that starts at the beginning, in the cell in Haven just after she's walked out of the Fade and he's surrendered himself to Chantry forces?  I'd love to read someone's version of that scene elaborated.
