So I have regular problems, like a lot of other players, starting multiplayer games.
I've opened all of the necessary ports, etc, that UPnP apparently wasn't opening, and it's gotten better, but there's still a whole lot of stuck-at-the-black-screen-of-loading-death action going on.
It's annoying, but what's REALLY annoying is that to get out of the interminable loading screen, I have to kill the game process every time, meaning I have to reload the game, sometimes five or six times in a row.
While MP bugs like being murdered by invisible druffalo and keys not dropping are annoying, at least THEN I can leave the game via ESC.
Any chance of a cancel button/escape menu during MP game/initial cutscene loading? I've wasted far too much time killing and restarting it to play much more MP until loading is fixed, and it makes me sad, because, well, FUN.
(Note: invisible death druffalo: not fun. The rest? fun.)
EDIT: I still maintain the feature above would be nice, because there's still sometimes Loading Time From Hell ™, but:
I also made a mistake that I know better than to make, so just in case any of you are among the folks I talked to still ripping your hair out: I'd forwarded all the necessary ports to my machine, but had also failed to make firewall rules on my PC for ALL the incoming ports, which, obviously, doesn't help connection much. And be aware, it's not enough just to have DAI on your firewall's list of allowed programs. (n00b mistake. Am feeling Teh Dumb.)
