this is what all those evil ghey menz will do in his game
Then I see this... please excuse me while I mend my broken ribs.
I admire your dedication to being the embodiment of Poe's Law!
I hate you. Now what I am supposed to do on a Friday night?
Fashionably late.
No one arrives before the second bell at the Winter Palace Dahrling...
sandalisthemaker's Boss: What are you doing Sandal? This doesn't look productive?
sandalisthemaker: Umm. I got distracted. It won't happen again. I promise.
sandalisthemaker's Boss: Get back to twerk, I mean work.
Who came up with the no gay toggle switch or no gay switch in the first place???
It would be an individual choice. All three could be chosen for each play through by every gamer. No one is excluded what so ever.

Don't know, but you made me laugh. ![]()
Alright, then how would these options be implemented if not with a switch or toggle at the beginning of a game?
By selecting a gameplay mode, of course! You know, how ME3 had Action/Roleplaying/Story? Only he wants is as Straight/Gay/"Mixed."

Certainly not you, you innocent flower who coincidentally wants to remove all gay characters from your game but it's only to give people what they want and not because you just want to remove all gay people because you don't like them!
It would be an individual choice.
Between three switches, or "toggles." Yes, exactly! Go on!
All three could be chosen for each play through by every gamer.
Of course! Brilliant! And with all three chosen by every gamer for each playthrough, all the content would be left on, and the game would be exactly as it is now! Genius!
No one is excluded what so ever.
Of course this isn't about you not having to play a game with gay content! I have no idea where anyone in this thread got that idea at all. I mean all your original post says is:
This way, if someone likes to only play as a straight character, the game's characters would be straight.
How could anyone have misunderstood that?

It's so hypnotizing. I can't look away. O.O

Lmfao!

This is definitely a twerk-worthy thread.
But she has short hair! That means she ugly and a man! That mean this is gay content! Where's the button to remove it?!
<snip>
YAY! Twerking for sandal! All is right in the world!
I did admit it wasn't backed up by statistics, just quick math.
It also wasn't an entirely fair estimate of people from the sources I pulled the numbers from. All but the Australian survey only polled people in the 18-35 range. Australia went farther with people between 18-69.
I think they might have been making a joke in Australia by going to 69.
Yeah, I just see alot of people use those statistics here and fail to recognize what they actually mean. It's the researcher in me; I can't help it! I have to point it out everytime I see it! In the name of SCIENCE!!!!! <strikes heroic nerd stance>

Cersei, pls don't leave. The thread will be boring without you!

Anyone else now thinking of that movie where a cult plans to achieve their goals by turning the world gay one man at a time? No? Just me? Okay.
just for you!
Okay, now I'm too distracted. Julian Serrano. Yep, I know his name. Good. God. Y'all!
It's not homophobic to want gay people to go away. How is that homophobic?
Look.
Gay people being in video games isn't a fad that's currently in right now. This may be overly optimistic on my part or even biased (I do live in Toronto, Canada which hosts an annual gay pride parades along with being the most multicultural city on the planet) but from my perspective western society, or at least media, has come around to the opinion that being gay isn't a bad thing or something that shouldn't be seen in entertainment. Homophobia isn't cool or right anymore the same way being racist or sexist isn't okay anymore. As a consequence of this cultural change occurring and subsequently the development of a vocal LGBT community, more entertainment industries like video games, television and film are more comfortable with having LGBT characters in their works of fiction because having them included is more accepted and seen as normal. There's a reason that Dragon Age Inquisition, a game that came out in 2014, has prominent openly gay characters while something like Balder's Gate, a 1998 game doesn't. The climate has changed and now writers who may have wanted to include LBGT characters but couldn't because of a potential backlash can do so and even get awarded and praised for it. So unless something drastic happens that changes people more progressive opinions on the LBGT individuals, then chances are were going to see more and more characters of differing sexuality's, the same way we see more characters that are non-white and female.
The point is, you will see more homosexuals and the like in AAA video games. You're going to see more ethnic diversity in video games. Your're going to see more women in video games. This whole being inclusive thing is a trend that's quickly going to become a norm.
You can't escape it, especially from a Bioware game.
The video game community and society in general has changed, so just get over your prejudice and change along with it or at least try to be tolerate of it.
Also, as everyone has already said, a gay toggle is a waste of time that most of the fanbase wouldn't even want. The number of people dog-piling you for suggesting one should have been a hint of that fact.
Look.

Just to let you know, the person you were quoting was actually making fun to the OP and some of the others. That being said, you have a good point. ![]()
