It is.   Long story, but when I was 20,  a lady friend and I covered all of one guy's stuff with pink and purple fairy dust.  You know, the super fine glitter that looks great at the club...that you can never get rid of no matter what because it gets into the cracks of everything?  We each took a bottle (which weren't small) and dumped over everything he owned.   I wouldn't do it again, but he deserved it.

I got a real kick out of the idea that "purity of minde (sic)" goes along with virginity.

 

It's like food.  The longer you go without it, the more your imagination builds it up.  Sumptuous feasts of the most exotic and delectable foods, presented exquisitely in amounts and quality fit for royalty.

I wanted to add that if you're curious OP, David Gaider confirmed that all of the love interests from DA2 were bisexual at last year's GaymerX Con .  Dave and I both know one poster that is still pretty bitter about that too.

Because some people have preferences that are not constrained by gender, and thus would mean that each PC could only ever romance companions of one gender at a time (except for the random mix).  Honestly, herosexual would work better.

 

Also, your suggestion would prevent those characters from being written in a way that is contingent upon their sexuality.

The writers' intent doesn't matter once the game is in the hands of the players.  The herosexual interpretation works, and I prefer it.

 

I am wholly indifferent to whether David intended them all to be bisexual in every playthrough.

I remember having a good debate about this at another forum with a very learned educated gay man.

 

He told me, he doesn't buy being gay and lesbian is mainly genetic. He did the research over his lifetime and determined that its at best partially genetic and the rest is choices we make that lead to other choices, what we're exposed to, certain events in our lives, how we were raised, what we believe in or not, and other factors we haven't discovered yet and may never discover. I agree with this guy 100%.

 

Some will say we are born that way and some will say no we aren't.

 

But you have to respect everyones view and opinion about this hot topic.

 

I still think having an option would be a great idea and that gameplay would be unique to each person's play through.

 

Anyway, that's my 2 cents on the topic.

 

 

Who knows what DA4 will being anyway? Could be romanceless and MMO?

 

 

And a lot of my favorite tv shows and movies have had gay and lesbian leads, but that's nothing new to me either. Same with gay and lesbian co workers, nothing new to me either.

 

Jim Parson's from Big Bang theory is my fav character and do I care that he is gay? No.

 

Ian McKellen is my fav actor of all time but do I care he is gay? No.

 

I can go on and on.
