Can we leave Russian/Soviet politics from the previous century out of this, please?

I am having difficulty articulating my thoughts on the opening post.

However the above video demonstrates my thoughts perfectly.

Putting the moral issues aside for a moment, from a developer POV it would take too much time and effort to impliment. You'd have to code two sets of romance  cutscenes for each LI, have two sets of dialogue recorded... Doing that for Bull and Josephine would have been hard enough. Doing it for all eight romance options? Not worth it when you have far more pressing issues to attend to with a deadline to meet.

DAI is getting way too politicallty correct.

I just want choices and to play my game the way I want.

I see. So it's ok when a woman is attracted to other women, so long as a man can get some of that action, however as soon as she is TRULY a lesbian, it becomes politically correct. I'll remember that one.

...it just wouldn't be fair not to display the appropriate level of drama to portray the atrocities committed in the name of political correctness...

Answer me this.

Why is my idea a bad idea and not yours or someone else's then?

I've seen no really great ideas, solutions here yet.

At least I had three options that would work for all........what has anyone else here brought to the table????

A video game is not reality, it is an escape from the real world. That means, you should be able to do what you want and not bring the real world into a video game......and if I chose to romance all the ladies, so be it. My choice, its a video game, not real world reality and politically correct.

THe reason for that is because many of us don't the problem to which you are alluding. In fact for many on these boards, this game is a solutions to a problem we have been experiencing for our gaming lives. So essentially, we have a chasm between us even before we get to the implementation of your "solutions". Nevermind the fact that what you are suggesting is tantamount to everyone being separate but equal.

DAI is now a politically correct game, like the real world instead of an escape from the real world. Simple as that.

Whatever happend to the Blight???

Grey Wardens????

The game????

Replaced with politicall correctess among other things.

I just want to romance the ladies and the ladies on this forum can romance the guys.

Why are you ignoring the people who are telling you that it wouldn't work for them? Why is only your opinion of what works valid?

And you still haven't answered my other questions, either:

And again, you're the only one saying that no one is allowed to disagree with you.

Answer me this, why is no one allowed to disagree with you? Why is no one else allowed to share their opinions?

It's not worth it eyez and Jeremiah. The only way this one will be happy is if he can romance lesbians with his straight male PC. He's made up his mind.

So who else would you escape from? Let's make a list shall we? I'll start:

1. Gay people.

Your turn.

Your solution has no problem that it offers to solve...characters are characters, they have personalities and mentalities and sexuality is one of them. If all you want is options, then the best approach would be to just give you blank slate characters, where you fill in their personality, appearance, background, sexuality and everything else.

Congratulations, you have met NPC #11, please answer these questions to make him/her into a companion of your choosing.

There's also the practical matter that it's impossible to code everything anyone could possibly want to do into the game, so the developers have to make choices of what to include and exclude.

Nobody is "bringing anything to the table" because there is no problem and thus no solution.

I don't see any valid reasons for people choosing all straight or all gay universes.

He can. HE TOTALLY CAN.
They just need to be trans.
A "straight male PC" .... in a female body.

Problem?

Answer me this.

Why is my idea a bad idea and not yours or someone else's then?

Plenty of my ideas are bad. Same applies to many other people on the forums. You're not the only one. The issues were that this could be insulting to people of differing sexualities and involve a lot of extra coding.

I've seen no really great ideas, solutions here yet.

I happen to like the Dragon Age Inquisition approach.

At least I had three options........what has anyone else here brought to the table???? Nothing. Just more political correctness and filler posts.

Fair point. No one has brought anything to the table.

A video game is not reality, it is an escape from the real world. You're right. Games are not reality. They do however reflect reality. Umm. I don't like this idea. You can't implement every single choice into a video game. Video game development is really tricky. This just isn't feasible.

Okay. The thing about story telling is that when you write characters, there are many characteristics that make a character who they are. Gender, race, sexuality, profession, background, personality, experience etc. When people write characters they should have the freedom to explore the different facets of a character rather than be dictated to.

I'm beginning to think this whole thing is because he got turned down by a lesbian IRL.

You want to romance Sera as a guy download a ****** mod. I'm sure there's one out there.

Okay, I'll go ahead and say it: You're trolling (or crazy.) Don't stop on my account, though, I find it hilarious. Can't really blame people for questioning your motives when you're claiming that you have a solution that removes all gay characters from the game.

No problem.  Just don't mind my basset hound.  She'll end up cuddling with you.  :)
