So, if the player isn't allowed to make a toggle for their "straight or gay experience," there shouldn't be romances at all?  Sure, sounds legit.

The amount of times the OP keeps mentioning "an esape from reality" certianly backs up my "hit on a lesbian and got rejected theory".

Why wouldn't it work?

Everyone would be happy.

Myself, I would chose straight gameplay and others could chose gay gameplay and others still could chose a mix gamplay.

This wouldn't offend me at all because it would work.

Making almost everyone gay, lesbian and bi sexual isn't realistic.

I agree totally, it's actually really weird that everyone is romancable by everyone... I mean, good luck with that in real life. I mean hell, not even every person of the gender you're interested in is romanceable. Neither is giving a weird option at the start of the game, that's actually kind of messed up.

Some characters should be straight, others should be gay, others should be flexible.

That's realism, to me anyway.

Technically speaking, the exclusively straight people among your party members and advisors outnumber the gays and bisexuals.

Heh, reminds me of the Excalipoor sword that shows up in the Final Fantasy games sometimes.  Poor Gilgamesh...

But this isn't real life......its a video game.

Why not make all characters bi sexual? Caters to all.

OR

No romance and sexuality in the game and only focus on the game itself?

I would go for that.

Because people don't want that sort of control in their games.

Here's another idea then.

No sex or romance for anyone. Problem solved.

Just focus on the game, plot, storylines, quests and make it a really long game.

So much for innocent thread

The OP is just mad he can't romance Sera as a guy. Let's just tell it like it is and forget all this bull about an "ideal solution". The only person the OP wants to cater to is himself.

Wow,, damn if I do and damn if I don't.

You can't win either way.

I'm no troll just because I don't always go with the flow and what's current and politically correct.

At this point, I definitely know why he never answered any of my questions. But, to be honest, I knew that he wouldn't when I asked them. Because, although I didn't want to say it, it was obvious by the end of the first page what the goal had been, all along.

Why is this sexuality thing so important?. We are all humans, we all have different preferences, different ways to live and we embrace different faiths. Just accept the vision of some and either learn to live with it or just leave it be. There are like thousand topics in here adressing the wishes of peoples sexual preference, it is weird.

Am I mad because I couldn't romace Sera? No.

I actually romanced Casandra.

I'm just saying, to be fair for everyone, BI all the characters.

No one complains he or she can't romance a straight or gay character then.

Right?

But if its too hot an issue today, like it clearly has become, then eliminate the romance and focus on the game itself.

But we can't do that either???

And the funny thing is, what has any ot this got to do with Dragon Age and the Blight??

Okay. In my earlier posts I was thinking perhaps this is a legitimate (all be it problematic) proposal.

Now I'm getting the sense that the opening poster just wants to sleep with all of the female characters.

Well, like I said, get some mods.

Last I checked, you were the one who had an issue with the romances, then logged in to the BSN, then made a thread concerning your issue with the romances. Now you're stating that it's other people who have the issue, because we have no issue with the romances as presented.

Does that sum everything up?

I suspect a lot of people would be unhappy, for similar reasons as to why making every character bisexual/playersexual in DA 2 did not make everyone happy. Because most of us play to meet and get to know characters for who they are, not to have simulated romances.

I agree with that.

The flaw in your logic is that, clearly, most of the other posters don't see the "problem" as an actual problem.  So your "solutions" would actually change the game for the worse.  So, yes, if you are going to take a scorched Earth approach to it and the only options are "Romance Everyone" or "Romance No One", then  you can't win.  That much you are correct about.

this all is your personal point of view...not my

no one of us can make your wish come true.....

only bioware can make that happen.

Honestly, I love this idea.  When I come home, I don't want to play games that have bizarre content that makes me sick to my stomach.   I'm sure the other party feels the same way.  This way everyone is happy without anything being force fed. But at the same time if they never implement this feature that's fine too.

Before everyone freaks out, imagine a virtual world that caters to your particular interests, doesn't that sound great?  People don't understand that the OP's idea can fine tune someone's dragon age experience into something perfect and highly immersive.

Ultiamtely Bioware is making this game FOR US, so why not let us fine tune our experience to exactly what we want? It's the American way baby, give us options, choices and let us invoke our free will.

I personally would prefer not being exposed to shemales or transgender characters, some scenes in DAI are just a bit bizarre for me.  I don't like femshep's voice actor being used for some weird NPC, no offfense, just how I feel.

But in the end, I want everyone to be happy so I'm willing to put up with all of the bizarre stuff, *sigh*.

But this isn't real life......its a video game. Why not make all characters bi sexual? Caters to all.

This would be ideal, Dragon Age 2 did this to a certain degree and it worked out great.

Wow,, damn if I do and damn if I don't. You can't win either way. I'm no troll just because I don't always go with the flow and what's current and politically correct.

It's good to see I'm not alone on these forums.  I don't give a damn about being politically correct either, but at the same time I genuinely want everyone to enjoy Dragon Age.  Dragon Age is a wonderful experience all should enjoy, not just a particular group.

I love your idea of choosing your sexual preference in the options menu.

Total Recall 1990

There was a scene where Arnold Schwarzenegger sits in a chair and his questioned by a Doctor in regards to his sexual orientation, this is to provide him with the optimal virtual experience for his adventure. He responds that he is Heterosexual.

I don't have issues with the romances. I think we all should have the choices to romance whoever we wish or not at all.

If everyone is BI, it works.

Everyone has the options to chose whatever they want to do.

So if you start DAI as a gay character, your romances would be primarily gay.

If you started DAI as a straight character, your romances would be primarily straight.

It's all based on our choices.

Because Bioware is still making the game the way THEY want it

I personally would prefer not being exposed to shemales or transgender characters, however I will tolerate it if the ops idea never gets implemented.  I won't lie though, some scenes in DAI are just a bit bizarre for me.

And you just lost even more credibility

I already have this.  If I start as a gay guy, then there are 4 options and 2 of them are men.  If I start as a straight guy, then there are 4 options and 2 of them are women.
