Half these folks never leaderboard or they die because they can't get to the enemy quick enough to build/keep barrier with the light saber. This does not help your team! You should be zipping around like the silver surfer wacking people left and right and rez'ing people as needed..

Seriously! You know who you are- Why not pick FS?

Yes, I know who am I, that's why I don't use FS, FC, PotA and rarely use SB (without upgrade of course).

Because if you are down:

A - Get to play Han Solo Hero Dude  "I'll save us all like Jesus with a Light Sabre!!"

B - 1st place on scoreboard, at least 50% more score than teammates

C - Uncaring?

I can see the reason to not have POTA - I don't use it.  But I can't see a reason to not have FS. Unless you don't run perilous or like falling down a lot.

I was trying to do a build without SB. But on wave 5 perilous when I am surrounded by enemies and my other 3 spells are on cooldown I kept defaulting to hit SB, but alas it was POTA. Good to start fights, I never use it in the middle of them. So goodbye POTA and hello again to SB

That's my build. Mindchill Staff (+11% attack, +8% HoK), 62% spirit resistance (including belt), 24% fire resistance, 10% cooldown pendant, enchanced ring of Chain Lightning, superb ring of Attack. Cunning=82, Willpower=33. On lvl19 Perilous is like walk in the park.

It's not a necessity to run frost step, he has plenty of ways of generating barrier..

Stone Fist.

You know what, as I saw a reply and clicked the thread I thought "Stone fist"

I just use SB, SF, FC and CL. Seems to work alright for me

There's a lot of AW builds floating around, and a lot of them are strong in perilous. You actually have quite a few strong abilities to choose from and no matter what you do Fade shield will make you survivable as heck, unlike most other classes. But just in case people are wondering, the most common perilous speedrun AW build I've seen personally has been spirit blade, fade step, fade cloak, and PotA. People may be wondering, why not chain lightning? Because the following rotation should result in most mobs dying very fast: PotA, fade step, fade cloak, spirit blade, hit randomly any abilities that go off cooldown with your forehead.

I've been seeing a lot more AW without SB, and even tried it myself for the purpose of increasing difficulty, and yeah even skipping SB the AW is still quite strong. Cillian just has so much going for him. Must be the ham.

Heh, yeah I've had that happen to me before.

I prefer PotA with SF. With the mana regen from weakened enemies passive I can pull them in and than use CL and SF to do serious damage (giving me a full barrier) and put most enemies to sleep. It's a fun alternative to just using your lightsaber for the whole game.

I don't use Fade Step or Spirit Blade. I use a CC build.

Chain Lightning

Stone Fist

Fade Cloak

Pull of the Abyss

Works just fine on Perilous.

Like I said, I tried to cut out SB but it went badly. My promotions are sitting at 16/20/20 so your build doesn't go well for me. I need my SB crutch until I don't die in a few hits.

Lol at all these different builds. It is great irony that the arguably most powerful class in the game is likely also the most "in-class balanced" class. WTB an assassin that doesn't need hidden blades.

Fade Cloak is a status purge. It immediately gets rid of knockdown, burn and fear effects, which is invaluable.

Fade Cloak is also the only ability that can actually do damage while you're resing someone and is the largest nuke you have available.

I would get rid of CL before I got rid of Fade Cloak.

My build originally had no fade step, but I had to add it in as all the archers and other mages killed everything before I could use ma lazor sword.

After promoting ill try pota perhaps, but spirit blade eats revenants and bosses for breakfast.

I may have less options for viable builds with an assassin but they are still 10 times more fun to play

I suppose I did not detect the sarcasm from the earlier post where you listed ungodly amounts of promotions lol

Well either I suck or testing out new things in perilous pugs is not a good idea

Bingo, the Assassin is far more fun to play.

If your team is good it probably doesn't matter but half the time in PUGs your archers or assassian types are at one end trying not to die while your at the other end or in the middle whipping up on the big boys- you need FS to help those guys out when they go down to get to them quick. Since AW is the strongest class you pretty much IMO lead and protect the entire team. Yesterday, I saw quite a few wanna-be AW types slowwwlllly moving around without actually maximizing their ability to help the entire squad quickly. But I am sure with some of the promotions some of you carry it might not matter much if you kill everything quick.

Wow. My promotions are 1/4/7 or around that amount. Cut out SB in my 3rd arcane warrior build and it went fine, albeit I don't go perilous until like level 14ish on any character.
