You know what you should do? You should sue for false advertising!
*burp* Ignore me... I'll just head back to the DrinkQuisition now.
I'm not mad in this case. Inquisition is already a big game. How can someone complain that something is missing when there is just so much game?
So why then don't show what IS in-game instead of making an official video of things that no one will experience if someone purchases and play the game.

Among the things in the game are:
-The nighttime desertscape of the Hissing Wastes
-The meteor-tastic Firestorm spell
-The part of Here Lies the Abyss where the Inquisition lay seige to the Wardens.
Also, if the intent was to hoodwink unsuspecting buyers into buying a game that had the features shown in the video but in different context, they would not have emphasised "plenty of torches" as a striking visual effect.
And it has a Jade Empire poster in the background, you can't be mad at any video that has a Jade Empire poster. ![]()

Oh, it also shows vegetation and a sword....or two. There is vegetation and swords in the actual game so you are maybe right
So then why tell these people that theze visuals are in the game, when they aren't. I would clasfiy that somewhat as false advertising or at least misleading the audience.
There is a desert at night time. There is a castle wall. There is a spell that drops meteors on an area of the battlefield. There is a castle under seige. A person buying the game specifically for those things gets those things.
And plenty of torches. Plenty.

Ahh yes.....
Vast open spaces filled with bears, wolves, bandits and more bears.
Not to mention the most epic quest of all: Lead that Druffalo back to the owner.
Good times. ![]()

Glad we sorted this out.
Please tell me your joking, since it's misleading at it's best or at least false advertisement at it worst. Since they claimed The Western Approach would have this feature not the Hissing Waste. There is a desert at night time. There is a castle wall. There is a spell that drops meteors on an area of the battlefield. There is a castle under seige. A person buying the game specifically for those things gets those things.

That is not the problem with this official video and you know it. This video is filled with fake content that is not part of the actual game. None of your examples above make up for the fact that this video deceive potential customers into believing that what is shown in this video, is the real content in-game. That's either false advertising or it's at least, put in there for deceiving purposes.

Well I hope this imaginary person who buys games exclusively based on what time of the day it is in a specific desert level of games that contain three desert levels set at different times of the day is able to get their money back from the games store in whatever whimsical realm of the imagination they dwell in.
There is a meteor casting area effect spell in the shipped game. It just ends up as one of Solas' spells (potentially) instead of Vivienne.

This video, released nearly 3 months after the game is released, is supposed to trick people who have not bought the game so far, despite however many official videos, trailers, reviews and awards, and they hope to do that with the promise of night time deserts and torches?
I am not saying I would turn my game in for this, but this is somewhat misleading to the viewers of said video. It could be considered misleading or false advertisement from a lawyers veiw point.Well I hope this imaginary person who buys games exclusively based on what time of the day it is in a specific desert level of games that contain three desert levels set at different times of the day is able to get their money back from the games store in whatever whimsical realm of the imagination they dwell in.

Nope. The video has been made with the sole purpose of giving you the opportunity to defend EA/Bioware intentions........and their videos. Mission accomplished.

Au contraire, mon ami. The video has been created for you alone, so you can protest on behalf of people who don't seem to exist, and try to paint me as some sort of corporate apologist, when I have misgivings about the video, just not the ones you're attempting to have. For one, why the emphasis on torches?

So many missions accomplished then, mon ami.
What emphasis on torches are you talking about? I don't recall mentioning them before now.

The interviewer asks the guy something like "so what are some of the cool details players can see" and the first thing he says is "plenty of torches". He leads with that, as if that's the most important thing!
