I like my inquisitor. She has her charm. But I've dreamed same day I will play with my warden again. Hoskar, Lord Prince Aeducan, Alive Paragon, hero of Fereldon, Warden Commander. Did you think in PS4 or X1? With voice and facial expressions? Char to play! Perhaps in DLC to DAI or for next game...but there are too many things to discovy by Hoskar Aeducan as he has two children... One with Morrigan, one with the Noble hunter... Where is he in 9:41 when the Inquision needed him? Maybe there is a good explanetion! Please, I need to play with my favorite char in RPG games!
There is a very good explanation as to why your Warden is not present in Inquisition.
Just keep playing, you'll find out.

I too support this! So much so I made a similar thread a few weeks back ![]()

Bring back the warden as a playable character in DA4.... he/she could never be an npc, and they deserve better then eternity in text boxes or codex entries.
I want to play the search for the calling and the soruce of the darkspawn. That means the other magisters. Brood mothers. Sleeping archdemons. The architect (pretty sure he is a magister...). Dwarves and the deep roads.
And it's not like people who don't want to play their wardens can't make a new warden PC who isn't the HoF. It's just dialogue changes (and that would make for incredible replayability).

It's going to be hilarious when the people demanding the return of their wardens have their wishes fulfilled but then start whining about things like his/her voice not being what they expected.
And are only allowed to choose wrinkled complexions. ![]()

You know what, i don't think the voice matters... I mean when did the warden ever actually speak except for like opening doors and stuff. Give us 4-6 voices same as inquisition, and we'll adjust.
It'd be worth it to see morrigan and shale and leliana again and have them actually recognize us, instead of meeting them for the first time every single game.
Plus, update your warden 10 years in the modern character creator? Hell yes.
And are only allowed to choose wrinkled complexions.

Well my warden is dead, and I find the wardens boring anyway, so this would probably be a game I wouldn't buy.
I would like to keep the inquisitor however.

Man, people really need to let go. The part of me that actually really likes my Warden is finding itself in the company of the other part that kind of wishes that this character just canonically dies off-screen so the devs can salt the earth so nothing grows there. Single player DLC for this game should not feature any protagonist but the one featured in it, with content that can involve the companions. Featuring the Warden here might appease those who dislike this character (which is also questionable because many a fan would rage about how much the Warden was ruined), but frankly, nuts to them.

When I criated my Inquisitor, a mage, woman, I chose the segund voice. I found odd in first time, that strong voice, but later I saw that is good part of her personality and charm. It soo cute see the angle face with strong voice saying "shut up, listen what I have to say" in War Roon.... I didn't expect that... It's a good surprise! The voice change a lot the char... But the Warden is different because we already have our expect. We already played about 100 hour with them, all in all we have to respect the limitation of Bioware. Think about the work to do the DAI with four voice! It was a great work! If my Warden will have any male voice like DAI I would think great although I think that Bioware have to try surprise us!

I think that one reason why the Mass Effect is too hepic is because we keep with our char! In Dragon Age we don't have that choose. My suggestion is in next game we choose to play with main char of previus games or criate another. Perhaps it will very difficult for Bioware take that idea beause that large work this wil have. But this will please all!
Exemple, in next game we choose who will take a "bad" side. The Inquision or Great Warden commander. We play a "good" side against another side. In this exemple, there is space for a new char if the player wants. That have great power of reaply. Maybe there aren't a "good" or "bad" side, only a diffent point of view... To strong for a large desagreement to take a way to solve the main problen of the game. And the "right" way is that we choose to play.
There are many way to we keep our char... I like to much the my warden or my inquisitor for just let go =/
In next game I really don't want to criate a another char. No in first time....

Actually many players are playing DA games exactly because they can play a different character in every game.

I really dislike the way Mass Effect works because your character is never in real danger. You would never get a choice like in Origins that determines whether you die or not.
I think its bad from a marketing/production POV as well. Eg I don't like the warden storyline. If the later Dragon Age games were about them, I would be much less interested in buying them. You also have to worry about new players who won't know the character.
They will never make a game where you can choose between your old characters or new ones, because it would be too expensive to write all the different possibilities.

I support you, reallly. I just don't like we don't have a choose to keep with char. But it is a hard dircussion! If i got a Warden to play in DAI, for exemple, I never would criate my Inquisitor like I did... I like her the same way!

I believe that in part. But there is simple way too. Take in common at all, por exemple, Warden Commander, hero of Ferelden. Take your choose in Keep. They already taked. Only work they have are a race and origination; and how the world deal with this. It isn't a hard work, is it?

Dying in the suicide mission is just a non-standard gameover, its no different from just dying in normal gameplay and pretending that is how the game ends. Its not a real ending because you can't load it into ME3. In contrast to Dragon Age where I have kept my world state with a dead warden for both 2 and inquisition.
Obviously this argument doesn't apply to ME3 because there isn't a next game with the same character. Which is why you CAN die in that one.

Yeah you would, the story would be great, and there's always a new PC option if the HoF is dead (it's only different dialogue afterall).
And man, you should play a second warden. Hell, I had loghain join me in my last game, and he actually returns in DAI. It's crazy!
Plus you'll see stuff the second time around you never saw before. hell, you'd be seeing new stuff in your played 8 times. That's what makes origins such an amazing game.
The inquisitor won't be coming back in DA4, he's too powerful... like the warden is a soldier, but the inquisitor is rich, he's basically the pope. I don't see how he could be playable again...

I wouldn't mind playing the Warden again in DAI DLC simply because I have 0 attachment to the Inquisitor and would rather play as just about anyone else.
I'd rather see him in DA4. Have a new PC option with different dialogue when it comes to companions (fewer HoF references etc), but let living heroes return. Updated 10 years to investigate the source of the calling and the darkspawn.
I mean Corypheus is small time, he's just ONE magister. There's more, and they're probably behind the blights. Hell, the architect will probably be back, I seriously doubt he's actually dead even if the player tried to kill him in awakening (he's way too similar to corypheus).

Above all, dragon age is about decisions, and my past decisions feel so much less relevant to new PCs... I don't want to meet morrigan for the first time every game, I want her to recognize my character.

Naw, I found the story for Origins to be boring, and the gameplay too slow, I've got no interest in playing it again right now.
The different dialogue for a new/old PC is why it won't be done. Voice acting is VERY expensive.
I don't see how the Inquisitor can be ignored in the next game. The warden/Hawke weren't important people outside of their stories, so it makes sense that they might not have any involvement in other games. Whilst the inquisitor is directly tied to what is going to happen next to Thedas, with them possibly being under a Geas to Flemeth, or in love with Fen'Harel. And you can't just pretend one of the most powerful organisations in the world doesn't exist for the next game.

Let me rephrase, he'll be back, but he won't be the PC (which is what I meant to say)... too rich, too powerful. I was using my phone, didn't complete my thought. Though, saying DAO is boring, not sure we can see eye to eye on that. It was slower and more tactical, but the story was superior to DAI, and it didn't include anywhere near the mindless fetch questing.
DAO is the start of dragon age, and the vast majority of people here would say it was THE dragon age game. Anyway, disagree on the dialogue, in the end it's just dialogue, how people you already know meet you, and whether you're the hero or not. Totally doable in my mind.
Still, i hope to see my warden again. he deserves better then being regulated to text, and his mission sounds so much better then what we've been doing.
