If they do manage to make a HoF dlc that pleases a majority of the people requesting it then I will personally strive to have them annointed as Saints because that'll be worthy of ten miracles.

I understand wanting to see the Warden but I'm sorry, I cannot see it happening as it seems too difficult a task to make it satisfactory and the backlash too severe.

The DLC Hunter Witch didn't please everyone, I sure this. In my DAO chars, just one I played that DLC. But they gave a possibility to continue the history of my favorite character. I sure too that Inquisitor didn't please everyone, but I want to play a expansion.

I really can't believe that majority of Dragon Age series fans dislike their Wardens! Even Bioware with DAO . The game which put they on highlight.

(to Finw) Oh no, I did not mean that as a majority disliking their Wardens. I meant it as in a majority being pleased with how Bioware would handle the Warden which is unlikely to meet the expectations of a lot of people requesting it.

If my Warden was actually included in DAI, then I would be happy if there was some DLC that allowed me to play as her again (Female Elf Mage).  However, even though everything else that imported from The Keep was correct, my Warden was not.  The in-game Codex entry for my Warden lists "her" as a Male Dwarf Noble.  I know the error was not on my end, since I made sure everything was correct prior to exporting from The Keep and importing into DAI.  If there was a way to correct this, I would likely be willing to pay a reasonable amount for some DAI Warden focused DLC.  Since I play on Xbox 360, there is no way for me to fix this myself and I doubt Bioware will introduce a way to fix it.  Fortunately, my Hawke was at least correct (Female Rogue)...

Poisd2Strike, when I played DAI first time the Keep expoted only wrong information. I played with a dwarf and he did a Dark Ritual with Morrigan who he fell in love. They called him "dead female elf" and Leliana said she and hero fell in love. It was about 2 month. Now, I'm playing again. I know, I'm crazy.... Kkkkk.... Doing everything again... But at first time I didn't feel I was in "my world". Everything was happened at DAO and DA2 was wrong and this made me mad. Fortunalely, it seems they fixed that. I expoted again and all works well. Leliana said "best friend", Morrigan even said what happened in Hunter Witch, the warden's son is over there. A ugly human boy, but he is there. Ah, principal information, he is a Warrior Male Noble Dwarf to make a sense in my mind.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. When I said that I took into consideration also previus posts. But I hope that a light falls in Bioware hearts for they make at least one DLC with Warden playable. Perharp, at next game. I'm a dreamer!

[I think this discussion should go way further than just saying that "The Warden is Over" or "I did the ultimate sacrifice" or whatever.
More than just the Warden, I just think working with DA:O characters a little right now would be beneficial for Bioware and for the community of players.

I don't know about DA4 though... that's a little harsh and feel misplaced. Also, i'd like a new story for a new full game, just like we had in inquisition which was great! We want new developments for Thedas as a general don't we? We want new places and new stuff for a new game.

I do feel though that a DLC (or even a full expansion) with lore based on DA:O characters would be the best move Bioware could make. Here's my logic:

As we've been seeing on the news, Inquisition is the most successful title for Bioware in history, which means many new players just discovered the franchise. Those players are not familiarized with the story behind the events of this 3rd installment, and are most likely not going to play DA:O ou DA2 ever. And that is an awkward thing, i can tell since i didn't play DA2 and felt a little lost sometimes...

So bring the Warden, or a Warden Commander (like from Awakening for instance) for the ones that did the sacrifice, and write in a clever way to use the opportunity to feed the player with heavy lore about the events in the prior games. But don't just stop there! Bring other meaningful characters as well, playable or not. Make it like some kind of reunion.

2 benefits from this:

It's a natural and elegant way to bring every new players of the franchise to the same page before going further on thinking about DA4 which should be started in several months from now anyway!

Give longtime fans the chance to immerse in the universe of the games they love once more.

You see, everybody wins.[/url]

That!

It's very good ideia! I support you!

What will they will say at next game? "Where is the hero of Ferelden?" Dead? It's the easiest answers, but most of Warden wasn't dead. Still unseen? What is his (her) problem? It impoverishes the story.

(to Finw) If they are going away to the regions of Tevinter then I hope they do not bring up the Warden beyond mentions of their past exploits. There was reason for them to be brought up as people encountered where the past games took place knew the Warden personally and while there is a chance some companions travel, it is unlikely we'll meet as many of them. I prefer cameos and fanservice when they make sense as they've mostly done so far.

That you said make a sense, but this is "easiest way". Perharp, for next game. However, Will ONE DLC be so expensive as many people said? A paralled story. Everyone said at DAI the "Grey Warden miss". The Bioware left a open important thing! Have we never found out this? Only text box? "The Hero of Ferelden saved the world again" without we've seen this by our own eyes? I really will be upset with the Bioware if it happen someday!

It's very hard to continue the history of Thedas with so many possibily, but when we play new game of Dragon Age series we want to see how the world dealt with our choices. Even the people just played the DAI. They want to see what happen after the Inquistion. See, not just read on text Box! Have we never gone to Orzammar, Denerin again?

I really don't want to go to Tevinter, Antiva or Nevarra to run away the warden's and, now, the Inquisitor's choices because it is "so expensive" or "so hard"! There are many simple ways to solve it as Hunter Witch. "My warden is dead". If that is official story, they wouldn't issue the Awakening.

My bad! I thought when you said "I really don't understand why people like her so much, she was nothing special, and really wasn't important to Thedas as a whole." was about the Morrigan.

About the Insiquitor's problem, the mark happen rergardless our race, origin, or class. I think this isn't a "personal problem". My Inquisitor is a woman, mage. She could have a similar problem like a mage in DAO. It enriches the story. "The blood mage who poisoned the Arl was your best friend"... "The dwarf who poisoned the king is your brother"... In the DAO, we were connected in the past...

That's the thing with Inquisition. You have no playable background and thus no past to connect to.

Those war table missions don't count. You never knew the people there.

There are a few character that would match to appear in Tevinter. Hawke/Stroud/Alistair/Loghain goes there, one of Hawke's siblings went that direction, the Hero of Ferelden possibly did and we might even see Shale again.

But I get your point. It was a little awkward for every major character to appear in DA2. Why would all of those suddenly leave Ferelden to pay Kirkwall a visit? It didn't make much sense.

(to Rhidor) "Then it's settled: The Wardens' annual picnic shall be held in Tevinter, that way if anything goes wrong it'll be blamed on the 'Vints but don't worry, guys, I'm sure we'll break tradition this time!"

I don't understand why people say the warden is not important anymore. He played a huge role in Thedas, and if they truely want to close his chapter, they should do it with grace and a big boom. He does deserve more than a side note in an codex.

The only way to truly close this character's chapter while the series is still running is to simply kill him/her off, which you can already do in Origins.

I honestly felt more attached to my Inquisitor by the time I was done with my first playthrough than I ever was to any of my Wardens.

70 hours in and I went from thinking Cassandra was a not very nice lady and Iron Bull was annoying (His voice) to making the both of them my must have companions just like Liara and Garrus were mine through Mass Effect.

By the end I was sad to move on to my Femquisitor playthrough and by the end of that I felt the same and Sera became my Go-To Rogue.

DA:I just sucked me further in than the first 2 games did.

That's not the only way. Doesn't the Warden deserve to settle down somewhere (possibly with their LI) after one final stand?

I agree with Rhidor. That's not only way. I really like what they did at DAI. The way the Morrigan talk about the HoF "my warden" "after this, we'll live a long life together" XD. He doesn't need to die. The question here is he (she) going to appear again in next DA? Why does so powerful person not help to solve the Thedas' problem? Is he(she) playable?
