Not to be taken seriously , but which race/class do you belive makes sense for the Inquisitor?
In DA2 some people thought Mage Hawke made more sense cause of that mini video they showed at the beginning along with the whole story resolves around Mages and such.
Like I said this isn't meant to be taken seriously just a fun little question on what people thought ![]()
Which race/class do you believe is canon? (fun question)

As with Origins I much prefer seeing all possible stories through the various race/class combinations, so I don't really have a set "canon" Inquisitor.
That said, given the story implications of the Solas romance a female elf, probably a mage, seems the most impactful and would be as close to "canon" as I'd call an Inquisitor. Coincidentally I randomly picked female elf mage for my first entirely spoiler free playthrough so that worked out pretty awesomely.

I'm fond of the idea of a Dwarfquisitor, though, just 'cause the implications of a magical dorf in DA are pretty exciting. And then there's the Solasmance, which is a whole 'nother bag of cats.

human female mage or dalish female mage I guess.

As far as canon goes, probably human male mage. I highly doubt it's a female elf since that's already their default Warden (even though she's dead).
My reasoning is because the story is about the Fade, thus a mage is the "best" fit for the Inquisitor, and the other races were added as a second thought, so they can't possibly be who the Inquisitor was first envisioned to be. Gender could go either way, but I went with male because everyone else said female.
As for what fits, I think they all work well enough... the male Dalish mage is pretty good combination though.

After having played a Female Dalish Mage who romanced Solas as my second playthrough, I'm pretty sure I'm going to consider this the "canon" Inquisitor for DA4. Compared to all the other races and romances, I'd say that this one seems like it fits the tone of the game overall, due to all the elven lore, artefacts, locations and characters as key figures in the narrative?

I remember an article before DAI released with an interview with Mike Laidlaw (or David Gaider, I can't remember which one) saying that the 'canon' Inquiz is a Female Dalish Elf Mage. Which makes sense given how the DAI story revolves around the elves. And seeing how Solas is so involved in the story too, more than likely romanced Solas.

Well, not dwarf and Qunari, I'd say a female Dalish elf romancing Solas works best for the way it makes the ultimate reveal of hid purpose more potent.

Eh, my "canon" is a female human rogue, but just barely. I'm really loving my female elf play through as well.

They were talking about the Warden not the Inquisitor , none of them ever mentioned who the canon protagonist was for DA I yet. As for who the story revolves around well that's up for interpretation given that up until Mythal's temple it was all about a human organization ( the Inqusition ), the chantry ( Mage vs Templars ) Human politics ( halamshiral and the Adamant stuff ) and a human magister in Corypheus.I remember an article before DAI released with an interview with Mike Laidlaw (or David Gaider, I can't remember which one) saying that the 'canon' Inquiz is a Female Dalish Elf Mage. Solas's romance while well done doesn't push the plot forward anymore than any other romance in game , the only thing noteworthy from his romance is him revealing what the dalish tattoos really meant.

Really? Was the actual quote "dalish elf mage"? Because that's just trolling on their part as the warden' couldn't be both dalish and a mage (without mods that is). ![]()

I thought it was a warrior, due to all the promotional stuff being a 2-hander Quizzy?

lol I can't remember exactly but I think it was mentioned when they were doing an interview about the dragon age keep they also mentioned that default Hawke was a male Mage in the same interview . What I do know for sure though is that they have yet to mention what the canon Inqusitor was.

The default world state in Inquisition without an import from the Keep is a Dalish Elf Warden (not a mage) who made the US and a Male Mage Hawke who sided with the Mages.

I would have said male myself, but for the fact that so far it has gone: female warden, male hawke, so inquisitor is likely to be female..and da4 protag likely male. Its the only way to keep it fair. Besides it will look really bad(or rather be twisted really bad) if they have two male defaults in a row.I imagine a male human, though any class seems to fit. Mage, maybe?
My guess is either female human, female elf, but id like to see a female dwarf tbh.

they already had a male default mage last time, and thats Hawke. That is why its more likely to be a female protagonist. As far as canon goes, probably human male mage. I highly doubt it's a female elf since that's already their default Warden (even though she's dead).

and can u imagine the shi*storm if they did two alive males in a row, and the only default female protagonist so far beind dead?Like that is seriously a really bad idea if they do a human male again, twice in a row..
If the default Inquisitor is a male, then they might as well get red paint, a. brush, and paint red targets on themselves.

Male human mage, my canon. A long line of proud human male mages from Origins to DA2 and now this. All of them rebellious blood mages, except for the Inq whom has no personality, he is such a wallflower.

Yeah, I guess those are good points... Bioware does seem pretty concerned with things like that.

Same. I always play male mage but instead of being a rebellious blood mage, they side with Templars because I like irony. My Hawke and Inky pretty much have the same personalities: always choosing the diplomatic or sarcastic dialogue options. Yay for... creativity?Male human mage, my canon. Yeah, they are. My personal cannon inquisitor is a male warrior, so it's not that I don't want the default not to be male. But I really can see the horror end of it..if they go that route.

1) Human Mage. They have the highest likelihood and the most reason to be at the conclave. They are Circle Mages which means they were involved in the Mage-Templar war and have every reason to be present at Haven.
2) Elven Rogue. The Keeper sent an Elf to spy. Firsts are quite rare in supply and plus its spying, no one does spying better than Rogues. Additionally, in the later stages of the game, the focus is really heavy on Elven lore.
3) Dwarven Rogue. You are sent there to spy on the behalf of the Carta family, your family. Spying is the providence of Rogue.
4) Qunari Warrior. You are a mercenary, sent there as a hired sword to keep the peace. I doubt they would allow a Mage to keep the peace between mages and templars and Rogues are a shifty sort.
