Did you select custom hawke when talking to varrick? And di you click import once you set your world in the keep?

And di you click import once you set your world in the keep? Not sure... if not, can it be fixed? If I export now, will it have any effect on my current playthrough?

That's probably your issue, but if you didn't import your world, it won't apply to this game.
You need to click the little planet on the top left of your screen in the keep, make sure the keep is all set up with your game, and then click "Export to DA Inquisition".
In DAI, you'll be asked at the start if you want to import a custom game or use the default state, and you select custom.
Sorry, that sucks. If you did all that though you have a legitimate issue, but yeah, that's probably it. Unfortunately, unless things have changed in the past few weeks, the forums have suggested a world state once set is set.
Strange. When I started the game I selected a custom world state. The one that is active in the Keep, which contains the FemHawke.
Too bad. I'm not starting a new game (for now) and it takes many many hours to get there and find out the wrong Hawke. Really sucks.
Sorry to hear it. I'd post in the keep forums too, you never know what kind of response you might get.
The default world state has a male Hawke. You can check if you are indeed using the default by looking at the hero of Ferelden codex entry to see what it says. The default is a female Dalish who popped the clogs with archdemon.

You can do it while in the cc. Just copy the PT state to the edit section, load it into the tapestry and look at the tiles.

Not on console.
yes on console (except for xbox 360) pause the game or use a smart device or a computer.

Console/smart device means exbox 360.
Whether it means a smart user is open for debate ![]()
Hi, I kinda had this problem too. The tapestry was imported before i started my character, i choose custom world when creating it and when at Skyhold, hawked showed up as male, while i had put it female. ![]()
The same thing happened to me! I had set the world state with my two female characters from DAO and DA2, imported before I began my game, AND verified the timestamp. Hawke was definitely female on the world state I imported.
Now here I am, halfway through the game, and Hawke is male. It's so irritating! It really messes up the story for me. Why not have a simple gender switch in the customization screen as a failsafe?
