They probably should have gone for her actual default outfit rather than the dress IMO. From my understanding, the future statues are dependent largely on pre orders of the preceding ones. I just don't see it doing as well as a normal Morrigan statue. Sideshows ME line tanked because apparently not enough people wanted a shepard statue, but other characters. They took it as a sign that they just weren't interested in the ME line at all. They went with the right character in my opinion, just the wrong outfit. It'd be as if they were to do Leliana or Cassandra in their Winter Palace outfits. Why not the default, iconic wardrobe?

To each their own I suppose. I think it looks cool, but would have preferred the iconic outfit. I also think that would do much better in terms of sales.

Yup, I agree.  I thought the choice in statue was a bit odd, I mean Morrigan makes sense for the first in the line-up because she likely has a pre-existing fan-base from previous games, but I would have thought they'd put in her in her more iconic outfit.  My only guess is that perhaps they wanted something with a little more detail that they thought would stand out?  I mean like Kantr said it does look cool, although personally if I'm going to drop $300 or whatever it is on a statue Id personally prefer something that more acutely represents the character.

 

I can't say how the sales are going obviously, but hopefully one way or the other they still continue the line.
