Currently playing Threatening but afraid to do Perilous. Is it hard? I'm a bit of a noob,

When going up to perilous it really depends on what classes you like to play imo.  It is much tougher so you have to be on your toes but it is manageable.  I find melee classes that can handle threat and do a really good job can get beaten on in perilous it's easier for casters and archers.  I find I can survive not too bad with shield melee classes but get hand cramp because it takes so long to kill things,

 

Only way to find out is to give it a whirl.

Cross class combos?  Like what for instance?  i am about as knowledgeable about these as I was with biotic combos when I first stared playing ME3mp.  Do I just play casters and do my normal tossing around of fire and ice?  Use my alchemist and use frost flask?

Would templar work by themselves? I know you get the team combo medal with them if you spam their WoH/SP combo.
