No. Those are basic combos, not cross-class 'team' combos. Sleep --> Twin Fangs, both rogue types of prime/detonator. If you were an alchemist with Flask of Frost --> twin fangs, that's actually mage prime / rogue detonate.

GC doesn't stun either iirc. So, pointless for this challenge.

Hopefully people will begin to realize the difference in basic and cross class combos so that they can finish the personal challenge.

Also, I believe GC stuns with the upgrade which would prime

The upgrade says stun, but it is a knockback/down kick. The only one I haven't tested the kick on for sure is the guardian with a shield, which deflects the GC most of the time.

Either way, it'd be a basic combo for warriors, and not worth doing.

I likely play more routine and threatening than most folks here. I'm with the common man. The feedback from the matches I have been in is that no one understands this challenge.

1. The challenge says execute, so the idea of killing is not what is said. Execute is just "do".
2. The execution normally requires 2 people so why both don't get credit I have no idea. When people spend time to try they don't undertanad the lack of credit to both. Again, the challenge doesn't say "set up" for a killing combo.
3. In uncoordinated PUGs it is shockingly hard to set up and finish foes with a combo.
4. There is no real documentation for most players on what is a combo setup so short of me reading the list sofa jockey provided in most of these matches people would have zero idea how to do these.
5. Compared to combos in ME3MP which quite frankly would trigger pretty naturally in a match these combos do not. I've seen a lot of matches with a shockingly low number of combos landed even if combo triggering classes on the field together.

The funny thing is this;

Someone must know how it's done since we did the challenge on pretty much all platforms in about 24 hours...

Always nice when the PC goal is already done before I even log in on Saturday morning...

And I have a victory chest already waiting to be openned?  Did Bioware finally discover how to copy/paste the code needed to make the stat tracking server talk to the game server and distribute chests immediately upon goal completion (as with the personal challenges?) Or have I just not logged in since I finished last weeks goal?

It's from last week. They have noted you can have as many commendation chests queued up as you want, but only one victory chest. So best get it opened before the next one is issued.

I'm leveling a hunter for the first time, and after completing a match using Leaping Shot, Explosive Shot and Elemental Mines, I managed to score 0 (zero, nil, nada) cross class combos.

What are the hunter's priming and detonating abilities? Tooltips kinda don't help.

Next weeks event: Making Space

"Inquisition

It has come to my attention that our stocks are overflowing with awful weapons, that even the most mindless ghoul wouldn't use. This could be especially embarrassing, as we will be hosting an Orlesian delegation and their quarters are currently filled with Highland dirks and longbows of the partisan. Therefore we will be rewarding any brave soldiers who take time out of combat in order to help our quartermasters clear up, before the Orlesian detachment arrives.

Commander 'trollface' Cullen"

Individual: salvage 50 items
Community: salvage 50000 items

A special irony chest will be awarded to players who salvage all items from their victory/commendation chests

A special meta-irony chest will be awarded to players who salvage all items from their irony chest.

A special post-meta-irony chest will be awarded to players who salvage all items from their meta-irony chest.

Etc etc ad infinitum.

Hunter doesn't have detonating abilities I think, primer for him is knockout powder and full draw (upgraded)

this guide helps Link

I find it bloody confusing myself.

For pure irony's sake, I took little Mr. "Go Teamwork!" and completed the Teamwork challenge... by pulling off my first successful solo (finally).

I LOL'd. So did my mage versus the Red Templars. Bastards.

Okay, not totally for irony. Someone happened to promote their Templar right before this weekend, so... LOL

You joke but AW is fully capable of combo mania if you choose the right abilities.

Probably because a Templar can do one solo routine run and get like 80+ combos very easily.

Get just 500 players that do that and you've knocked out 40000 combos towards the community goal and it only took them about 10-15 minutes each.

Hey, soloing lolroutine against Red Templars ain't easy. How many times have you been ganked by a shadow?

Exactly.

Funnily enough, I was herding a group of 6-8 mobs together near the end of 4/5 on the solo run I did to complete the personal challenge where I did get ganked by a Shadow. I knew he was there, but I was focused on gathering as many as possible with the combo getting lightly peppered by archers I was trying to herd, then BAM

Still got 60 something combos off the incomplete run though.

Is there a way to counter the shadows other than waiting until they get within 6 inches of you to target them?

My level 19 archer that's 300xp from leveling to 20 doesn't appreciate getting ohk'd on routine -.-

Generally, just take them out first. they don't start stealthed, you just have to keep an eye out for them. Other than that, if you know one is on the hunt just, don't stand still too much.

Phew... Finally finished my personal challenge. I had to use characters I've never played before, but it worked out, albeit slowly.

Congrats everyone for the fast community victories!

Got it done in a few Pug games, playing as my Necro, we had a Templar and an Assassin so it synced well.

As for my com chest, same as last week and the week before that, a whole lot of nothing. -_-

So annoyed about that I decided to blow all my 20,500 in one go, nothing really to get excited about in all the chests I opened, a rare great axe, rare staffs, (the ones I'm using are better though) two rare rings, lots and lots of potions and of course plenty of common loot trash to go around. Was about to turn it off but thought fudge it can't get any worse right, lets try one more large chest. Flicking through the cards, sigh, sigh, sigh, l get near the end, turn the purple card around and

finally, finally got this sword. Belinda it will look so good on you girl! :D

This weekend event seems like a good idea on paper to encourage teamwork. But the first thought that came to my mind was to play Templar for 1 or 2 games <_<

Is that really it :(?

I've noticed sticking them with an explosive shot will keep them out of stealth for good but that's no help when theres 29347273648236432 other mobs in front of them -.-

Elemental effects like burning stay on them while they're in stealth. Also, if you have a Necro, cast walking bomb on them. Instead of instantly detonating to spread the STD, wait until they stealth , and THEN detonate. Boom, out of stealth, and several of their friends have also got AIDS.

Firestorm also knocks them out of stealth, IIRC. But I haven't used firestorm for over 2 months, so I can't say for certain.
