Is that really it ?

 

I've noticed sticking them with an explosive shot will keep them out of stealth for good but that's no help when theres 29347273648236432 other mobs in front of them -.-

 

You can see them under stealth, but it´s very hard, their cloak is almost perfect. But really, the best key is to be super aware of them. If I see them go under cloak I scan the area vigorously, searching for them.

(you can also hear them, it´s sort of swooshing sound, bit like wind)

If you have it, Fade Step through them will reveal them very nicely.

It was only my second attempt at a solo on this game. The first attempt (also with the Elementalist, funnily enough) was about a month ago and ended when I got the key glitch (no firestorm, but didn't matter, glitched anyway) on Wave 3 or 4. I had not attempted one since then because rage, no heal on kill rings or anything, and I don't really like solos (this goes back to ME3MP, where I also did not like solos).

 

Routine did turn out really LOL, though. I could probably solo a Threatening, but feel zero desire. I did this mainly because I only managed to get four combos off in a PUG Threatening match, so I solo'd just to get the dang challenge done.

 

 

Is there a way to counter the shadows other than waiting until they get within 6 inches of you to target them?

 

My level 19 archer that's 300xp from leveling to 20 doesn't appreciate getting ohk'd on routine -.-

 

Your first clue a cloaked Shadow is stalking you is this eerie, wind-blowing sort of sound effect. Also, sometimes you can see the little diamond shape bouncing around where he is (the aiming reticule/targeting an enemy symbol thingie). But mostly it's just that whooshing sound. When I hear it, I just make sure to keep moving around until he finally tries to stab at me as I run past, then kill him. Quickly. Preferably with fire. Maybe even nuke from orbit. To be sure. I... I may have firstormed just one Shadow the first time he stabbed at me.

Dude, that's happened to me a few times with my freshly promoted Keeper , I'm unstoppable, until I lose track of a stealther and they oneshot me in the back. With no Fade Step or Fade Cloak I faceplant.  But yeah if I don't tunnelvision and am aware of a stealther, I'll usually walk in a tight circle, listen for the eerie wind noise and wait for the targeting icon to pop up before letting fly.

This really was not an easy challenge if you didn't go solo route.  I just played it straight up and only templar and alchy did anything for me.  Even the elemenatist who I thought would get some combos came up totally  empty in games. 

 

I did get my commendation chest however, I got a card...it was blue and then it died.

I can't hear the whooshing sound - tv volume is too low to avoid disturbing others xD

I did not like this challenge. By the time I got online Friday the community was done. I did my one run with a templar, 87 combos later it was over and I felt no more need to play. At least if the community hasn't hit the goal I feel like I'm helping when I play.

1. Strange enough, using (early build) of Immolate and Stone Fist, managed 22 combos in one game.  Even though not the most powerful of abilities, they sure combo very well off each other.

I was using my normal ele build, winters grasp and immolate and barrier.  Played a full game and did not get one combo. The rest of the team was a range of melee and casters if I recall.

sometimes there's arguments of course but on the whole we agree that life's just too short to be angry about pointless shoite  pretty sure our kids like the relaxed atmosphere in the house as well, there all talking about not leaving when they go to college /uni ......going to have to do something about that ......

Well,it seems the source of problem is,that I stayed the same playful boy like I was 15 years ago and circumstances are changed.Some to better,some to worse.

Opened my chest, got a better fire staff so that's something I guess. The rest was potions and scrap.
