I've played Mass Effect 2 five times now, and every time I restart I think, "Alright, time to create a new Shepard." I try for about two minutes, then I immediately go back and recreate the same Shepard (with a different class) I've done my played-through with the last four times. I have no idea if I will have the same problems in DA, I probably will, but that's future me's problem. So is anyone else as attached to one character model as I am?

More like attached to multiple characters. I wouldn't want to change them anymore now that I'm happy with their appearance. Might change their armor, or casual outfits but not really the headmorph.

Same thing is true for the Dragon Age games, or any other game where I have multiple characters I like to play with (SWTOR, Saints Row, WOW, etc..)

I might have issues committing to a new character, but I love creating them. I've probably spent half of my in-game play time on the character creation screen. It likely stems from my Sims days. I'd gladly be a plastic surgeon if it involves facial sliders.  B)

As for actually completing another playthrough, I'm the same as you. So far, my only completed playthroughs are of the same Shepard.

I am. To the Default one, TBH... See, problem is that when I say "oh this character is going to be amazing", there are some issues, like not being what you originally planed, or just you can't see yourself playing as that Shepard, because you didn't like something here or there.

That's why I'm glad I get different race choices in DAO and DAI. I'm going to do am elf playthrough for my next one so hopefully it'll force me to change my looks.

All of my Shepards are related.  All of my characters no matter what the game are related. FA3; FANV; Skyrim; DA all Elves are related, all Qunari and all Dwarfs are related.

Apparently I have a certain type of facial features that I like and even when I'm trying to do something different, after I look at them I change them.  I noticed it one day when I was looking at the images I have.  Related.

My MShep probably will always look the same as there's really only one hairdo I like a lot

I don't have that kind of problem. I always create a different looking PC. However it tooks some time to get used to a new Shepard but after a couple of missions I have gotten used to her and if I have played that long I don't want to start over.

Manshep is always a variation on the same theme because always modelled on how I look.
Femshep is never an issue because I'll think of an actress or female from film/TV/real life for a name, then try recreating their face.

DA was much harder for male wardens because the origins have relatives so making my warden black really didn't work.

I honestly would like to somehow carry over the same Shepard face I played with from ME 1 and 2 into all of my Bioware Games. It's honestly the best customized character I've ever created in a video game. Every time I try to make a new one for any game it's a hard process for me to get through. Hell, even Skyrim I have issues sometimes.
