You don't have to leave the perilous pub when you see someone without a banner/title/portrait...  Some choose not to use it. =)

Yesterday I join a lobby and I'm looking at banners and I see 2 guys with some weird banner I've never seen. It was very plain and boring, looked like a picture of where wall meets ground and that's it. I couldn't figure out what it was from, and then I realized that they both had no banners and it was just the background showing through.

But this game is more dependant on gear/promotions than skill.

I can perform in Perilous with 10 / 12 / 12, but I have almost best gear available ingame. Definetely 100% Best in Slot gear on Perilous toons, also lvl 20. I am not invincible, but if I don`t do anything stupid, I do reasonably ok - that includes chasing melee people with my Keeper to barrier.

 

Would promotions make my life easier? I`ll do it one day for sure.

Why should I leave the peri pub if someone else is without banner?

Turn on your mic and tell your banner wielding friends to kick the bannerless!

The bannerless are second-class players and ought to be treated like your average BSN fellow forum member, with disrespect and hate!

True, but at least it's less of a dice roll since those two things at least tend to go hand in hand with some experience.

It is much more difficult to perform on Perilous with an Inquisition weapon and no promotions.  I know I'm certainly not good enough to do it.  Although I'll always give people a shot in a Perilous match before jumping to conclusions, I know some groups can't afford to carry someone that is completely new and still complete the run, so it doesn't surprise me to hear they may decide to kick the banner-less just to be safe.

 

I'm sure this kind of thing would have happened all the time in ME3 without the ability to see weapon loadout in the lobby.

They want someone in the lobby who can carry them to victory. If they were any good, they wouldn't be worried.

A sub level 10 character in perilous I could understand randoms kicking though.

Well, there was the whole "kick the Lone Wolf banners" thing for a while.

I just got out of a PuG with a Templar who had no banner.

When we start this dude is running around with A shield that looked like a lions face....I can't recall the name of it.

Pretty sure it's one of, if not the best shield in game....
