Wouldn't mind two titles or banners specifically for the leaders of a lobby that say "Speed" or "Gold" to make it easier to determine who's going to kick if you speed run through zones while the leader stops at treasure rooms.

 

It would save me a lot of time tbh.

 

But, back on topic, I won't play in a lobby with banner/emblemless players unless I know them. Tried it today (by accident). Keeper didn't cast a single barrier, Assassin insisted on running into the next room as we were finishing up the previous and aggro'd everything then died (Fade by zone 2), Katari is self explanatory and me, archer. Somehow we made it to zone 5 but they were all in the fade by the time the RTC even made it to the font door. My long shot can only do so much and I was a little relieved when I went down for the count.

 

So to recap, no, I will not play with players who I can't tell have any experience or good weaponry. Promotions don't really matter to me right now.

A lvl 1 toon in a threatening match seems suspect

Even as a 26 promotion keeper......

I still run a few 2 rounds on routine... I like to have a least a few skills.

I don't want to be a drag on the party.

I won't kick someone before I see what a player is capable of in game because I know how difficult it is trying to find a match in the first place. It could take 15-30mins to find a decent host or some players to join your game.

 

But from my own experience, I have noticed the terrible players tend to have no banners. There are always exceptions but the community is small enough that you can sort of predict who's bad and who's good. I'd still suggest giving people a chance anyways though...

I just got out of a PuG with a Templar who had no banner.
When we start this dude is running around with A shield that looked like a lions face....I can't recall the name of it.
Pretty sure it's one of, if not the best shield in game....

Shield of the Emperor (a purple). It's entirely possible that he just got incredibly lucky with the RNG right off the bat. I'm pretty surprised that BW didn't translate the lobby equipment/gear display from ME3 to DAI. It would really help.

Once you've done a few hundred runs, you grow tired of timewasting - so you use what you can to figure out if it will be a timewasting game or an effective one. If there was anything I really hated in this game it was having my time wasted (key drop bug in a pug was the worst timewaster so I did my best to avoid it). 

 

At the end of the day you never really know what you get out of a game unless they are people you know, or you see people with hard to get banners like 1mill gold, 250 completed on character or 250 perilous runs.

So.. what banners are.. impressive and/or kick-proof?

 

I probably have none of them so it wouldn't matter if I put on a banner or not.

I was in a Perilous pug with Silver Is King yesterday.  He has the Billy Mays and no banner....I personally believe Prestige hasn't nearly as much to do with performance in this game as gear.  But honestly, it's just one example of why you can't judge by a banner / portrait.

how about reverse discrimination :

pug1 - low lvl stuff on normal. played with two portrait new people. no banners or titles. decided to hang in there and help out.

first run failure. both have used up 3 knockdowns by second or third map. keeper who never casts barrier. if they can hear me they are not speaking.

second run I switch to my higher lvl legion. I wind up soloing the final map and then get kicked from the lobby.

 

pug2 - mid lvl stuff on normal. people come and go from the game as they see how bad and new the two archers are.

I hang in there trying to help out. wind up alone on 5th map.

So.. what banners are.. impressive and/or kick-proof?

None. I use the Hunter Banner + Necro portrait and got 2 kicks during a Public game this weekend. I saw a friend of mine using Perilous Banner + Katari portrait getting a kick vote from a pug today.
Pugs most likely don't know the value of the any banner, unless they use BSN, reddit or the Inquisition HQ - and chances are that most don't.
