Hello everyone. These days that everyone is busy with playing DAI and several other new games and praise them for greatness, I felt like coming here and sharing my opinion and extremely joyous experience that I am having from playing two games that can be considered old.And if anyone can point toward a game that is like these two, I will appreciate it.

1- Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy

This is game is awesome. First of all, it has a GREAT story. No, scratch that, awesome story. It has everything, role playing, decision making, real consequences, everyday life actions like talking to girlfriend, having drinks with a friend and etc, investigation, action sequences, bottom time, suspense. explicit romance/sex scene for those who are into it. deep and thorough characterization, I loved everything about it. And to top it all, it has my ideal excellent girl, Carla Valenti. She is awesome and my ideal girl. I really felt jealous during one section when she did and said something to a character, really.I wish she was real and I could have a face to face chat with her. I`ve even designed a scenario in my mind to meet and charm her. lol

2- Alpha protocol

Everything I said for the previous game. Except replace Scarlet Lake with Carla. Scarlet is a real badass redhead assassin whom again matches my preferences completely. For her too I have designed a scenario. These two just became my numbers ones in all gaming history, even ahead of ada, or maybe with Ada altogether. lol

For a long time I was looking for an action RPG game that is set in the present day and has firefights/gunfire and stuff. And I finally found it.

If anyone knows of any game like these two please let me know. I will appreciate it. And feel free to share your opinions.

Just for the record, I play on PC.

Well for Fahrenheit there is Heavy rain and Beyond two souls. Honestly though i've never really found any Quantic dream games particularly amazing. They always tend to **** themselves part way through.

I think Heavy Rain is an exclusive game, if I`m not mistaken. But beyond Two Souls, not sure. I play on PC BTW.

Beyond Two Souls looks like one of those games that hipster reviewers praise because it is "artistic" when in reality it is just a nonsensical mess that will bore people to death.

Reviewers actually slammed the game. For once they did a smart.

I'm not sure about modern day, but Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a pretty good action RPG that lets you use guns. What's great about it is that there's multiple ways to get around a mission. You could go in all guns blazing, take the stealthy route, or hack your way through.

Hmm, Quantic Dream must have forgotten to bring their check book.

Played and beat the game several times by now. And did everything to complete in a perfect way.

I am going to check the gameplay and see if I like it or not. But if gonna recommend TPS games, I pretty much prefer ones like Spec Ups The Line, Max Payne and so forth.

I don't see Planescape: Torment on that list.

Obviously a troll.

I played farenheit and it was good... until the awful ending. I don't know how to describe its awfulness, but I want you be mentally prepared for a whole bunch of random plot twists. ot was going really well, and then it's like the dtory started channeling the weirdness of games like deadly premonition, which isn't literally possible because DP is a lot more recent, but it describes my feeling for how farenheits story was going nicely before it got all messed up.

Ah, yes, I got it now: the ending was an epic fail of Mass Effect 3 proportions.

Sad, but true.

Ah yes, the David Cage brigade, the most contrived of them all even.

As much as I like to see praise for Alpha Protocol, I have to say I find OP's post more than a little weird, what with his wishing to personally meet and charm virtual women.

It needs to be there in large bold letters. With a harem surrounding it.

Alpha Protocol was really underrated.  A great game, in spite of some minor flaws...

Dude... they're not masterpieces. Read books if you love good stories.

Yeah. I never liked the idea of playing video games to replace reading stories in books.

I've never played Alpha Protocol, but heard it's an underrated but flawed game. I guess you could try Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

As for Fahrenheit, I found the game to be a tiresome QTE-athon with a decent story - right up until the final quarter when it just disintegrates into mush. In terms of video game as a barely-interactive storytelling medium, I found Dreamfall: The Longest Journey to be far superior to Fahrenheit; at least its cliffhanger ending didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Indeed. Dude said Indigo Prophecy is a masterpiece. I like the game and I think he's tripping.
