I have had some trouble finding this in the forum posts so I am unfortunately burdening you with a new topic. :(

How in the world do you customize your squad's armor loadout.  ME 1 had me searching for the most badass armor for my whole squad and it was my main motivation for replay.  I don't want to run around with Miranda in her civies anymore.

You can't actually change their armor load out, they have different outfits when you finish their loyalty missions but besides that, they wear what they wear.

So you can't upgrade their armor? The menus in ME2 are horrible. Why can't I see what armor or which weapons are better than the ones my team is currently carrying? The ME1 menu's were light years ahead of the ones in ME2.

Plus I think I was the only one who enjoyed the elevator sequences in ME1. I could care less about a flashy Loading screen like the one we have now

I loved the elevators too, the party banter and news updates giving missions were great :)

sound like u r rly at the beggining. when find a new, better weapon, u can see at his description wat his better than .. carnifex upgrade ur starter pistol etc... it doesn't turn into a math problem like ME1: "14 armor&90 shields or 24 armor&70 shields wats better?" do u rly need a chart to understand that the shotgun with the double heatsink is better than the regular one?

Thats exactly why I liked them. It was cool when you had different crew combinations and they spoke about different things. I remember one that I had Ashley and Wrex and Wrex asked something about why Sheperd and Ashley weren't mating or something to that affect

To Solmanian: I saw something about the Carnifex Hand Cannon. It said in its description that it is the upgrade to the Predator Pistol (starter). The problem is that I can fire off quicker shots with the starter and it holds a hell of a lot more ammo. The upgrades it seems is more about preferences over actual tech and power levels.

Plus (and somebody complained about this in Game Informer) i'm playing on a standard definition TV and I can't read half of the text. So when it comes to weapons I would much rather prefer a math problem with Green pluses and red minus'. Like every other RPG

Bleh..?

I'm so happy the elevators were booted. I don't want to spend 5 minutes riding an elevator, if I found it that enjoyable I'd go to the local skyscraper and go from ground to top. Not to mention, I'd probably see much more interesting things in the elevator during the long ride then one very short conversation or news flash.

Though I am sort of disappointed with the whole "You can't change your squads armor" crap. They give us awesome helmets and ****. Yet I can't dub my dudes to look equally awesome.

I like this system better, inventory before felt like a chore to keep clean and stuff now I don't need to worry about it.

5 minutes in elevator? Exageration and a half! longest I spent in an elevator was 20 seconds.

Major disappointment for me as well (not being able to customize squad armor). And yes, the menu's totally %^$# on the pc, they're just not intuitive at all, I assume when you press "Close" the menu should close, but it doesn't.

Its an RPG, I want RPG'ish like options from stats, armor, char tweaking, inventory management, etc. The game just seems very dumbed down, I guess too much effort went into making this an after-sale DLC micro-transaction mess.

how do you actually change the costume? just because I saw that you unlocked a new one but I never found out how to make them use it...

From your personal terminal...open the status screen. Once they are loyal, you can hit a button (Y on the xbox version) that will toggle their outfits.

But I think that that squad armor is strictly cosmetic? Correct? If so, that is a major buzzkill.

Too many people complained about all the tedious RPG customization and items, so Bioware got rid of it... But at least they added customization options and color change to Shepard's armor.

Yes it cleaned things up a bit, but I miss the Ammo and sheild and biotics customization and being able to actually upgrade teammates armor.

Just remember this in the future: BIOWARE ACTUALLY LISTENS TO IT'S FANS. If you complain about something, more than you compliment it, then they will likely get rid of it in the next game.

all current DLC is free. And the amount of actual abilities your squadmates have, isn't much less than ME1; it's just less points to max out. You LIKED having to clean your inventory every 5 minutes? Char tweaking? I'm assuming you mean armor appearance. I'll give you that. I hate this outfit horsecrap.

Appearance is just a minor annoyance. Sure it was fun making my team match with armors in the first ME but that was just a perk. The real fun was looking for things to make my team stronger.

I didn't have to clean my inventory every 5 mins, more like every 10 minor missions or after each major planet mission. I looked forward to cleaning my inventory, especially on the hardest setting because I desperately needed those credits to succeed in the early part of the game :P

I'm not missing the elevators, but I really do wish they had given squad members the same customization capability as Shepherd. I don't mind the lack of inventory, but if they had given each character a "modifable" armor suit that we could change up like Shep's, that would have been the perfect balance - I'm not fussed about the lack of inventory. I love that - it suits ME more, I just think they skimped a BIT much on the squaddie customizing.

Just curious, since we can't upgrade squad mates.. does their damage resistance and shields scale as you level up?

You can make most of the team match with a black an amber color scheme, but my problem is SPOILER you can never repair the big chunk taken out of  Garrus' armor.  You basically rebuild the guy but you cant afford to get him a nice set of armor END SPOILER It seems to me all the extra outfits are reskins of the models. I can under stand way the did this all the extra work to make a new model for each outfit, but when we first see Garrus he has on a shiny new set of armor so the model for it is already there.
