Dragon Age Movie & TV Series Would be good Idea, & not animated, there is wardens story, the hero of ferelden story & then there is hwke story & then there is inqusitor's story, the all 3 have ther own series, but in 1 day it mite become 1, but before that there are a lot of cross overs like in DAI, like Hawke showing up in DAI, but he is shown more in the series, but they will follow the book story more, in maybe in the middle of the game & the book, i would, i would like to see DA live action series one day, not animated

DA2 could be an interesting TV series out of all the three, I find it fitting for some reason. I think its mostly because of the story, narratives and characters.

 

As for a movie... Not sure if would be done well enough in whichever series was adapted. Wait wasn't there a DA movie already or was it just a fanart poster I remember seeing somewhere in the interweb? I think Lelianna and Sten were one of the main cast, I don't remember.

They can't even get their most popular series (Mass Effect) to launch a movie yet so I doubt Dragon Age is getting any mainstream attention any time soon.

With all the branching choices you couldnt make a tv series of the game and definitely not a movie.

 

No-one wants to watch a Mass Effect movie either. I watched the animated movie about James Vega and that was meh

I hope they get Sam Raimi, and ABC studios to make this like their The Sword of Truth television series.

For this sort of thing, I think movies are meh. A series has the benefit of allowing a lot of room to focus more on the individual characters and various subplots.

I think a TV series would be best, and less expensive, the art style though would be crucial, i didn't like the DA movie art style.

I don't think the market exists for fantasy shows. Even Game of Thrones has a very minimal fantasy element, and there hasn't been a flood of shows in its wake.

DA doesn't have the kind of brand value to get that kind of attention. Even within the gaming scene DA struggles for brand recognition; the number of times I have mentioned DA on other forums and had people go, "Is that the fantasy game by the Mass Effect people?" is pretty alarming. As much as we may love DA, it doesn't seem to have much of a profile outside the fandom.

At this point I wouldn't be interested in watching a DA movie or tv series, even if it was a legitimate big budget production and not a weird CGI anime wannabe thing.

It is an entire fictional world with centuries of lore and a hundred characters, I'm sure the plot needn't be a banal adaption of the game or a good vs evil story

 

I just want some kind of dragon age/breaking bad type of story.

Not always, e.g. Prince of Persia or the Tomb Raider movies are enjoyable.

Honestly, I don't see any of BioWare's IP's working well in the slightest with live action. There's just something about Dragon Age that doesn't lend itself well to in-the-flesh actors and whatever VFX whatever studio can muster meshing together. This is part of the reason why I prefer these franchises to remain as games.

I actually wanted this since DAO as long as bioware creates it and works on it with NO lore mistakes like was in that mini Tallish show, and as long as its not about our protoganists just fully side show.

The other problem with a DA show/movie is - do you really want different actors playing your favourite characters? Do you want to see someone other than Claudia Black as Morrigan, or someone other than Simon Templeman as Loghain? Personally, I don't.
