Speed-runners... stop running ahead.

Speed-runners get off Routine and play the harder difficulties. OHKing isn't helping anyone.

Looters... keep up.

Don't play the same classes. If someone in the lobby is already using a kit you want to use, then switch.

Arcane Warrior players use the ranged builds. You're not going to Spirit Blade your team to success. Leave the meleeing to the other warrior kits.

Kick all melee AWs.

Get off your SMA weapons and use your weapons that trigger abilities (2-10% to trigger <insert ability>).

Get off your "optimal builds" and use more of your team-oriented skills. Which ones are they? They are the ones you think suck (poison, sleep, taunting stunning and other crowd control type skills).

If you're not sure what combo are, then here you go: http://www.vrworld.c...ll-combo-guide/

Primer types: Stun, Sleep, Freeze and, and Paralyze

Detonator types: Impact, Precision, and Eldritch

I will probably going to enter one of those Routine lobbies and speedrun the hell out of the Weekend Challenges. Not because I want, but because I everyone I know has a full perilous team 24/7 these days.

That's good advice. I hope people try to work together for combos, rather than just soloing. It's a shame that the templar can't templar you over the templar of her templar. Templar templar templar? Explosion!

In the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit I'm currently soloing with a templar. Waiting for wombo combo to come off cooldown. I'm a terrible person. :(

Templar and alchemist for the event. Buddy of mine manages 80-86 team combos per game with the alch since it can create it's own

Did anyone bother to do a combo primer/detonator by kit specifically for MP? I noticed some people still confused by what to use.

What detonations does poison cause?

None. Spirit Blade is a detonator, but you'll also noticed I mentioned that as well. The point I was making for players to stop outright killing everything with their best skills ("optimal builds") and use slower-killing techniques so other have time to prime and detonate combos.

The combos are listed in the link above. I'll have to create a more detailed list for MP but I'm in the middle of doing the event so I'm updating as I play.

Yeah that was changed back in december. Spirit Blade does not detonate.

A valid question would be "Why?". For a large chest?

Because not everyone wants the mindless, boring grind experience?

Just a thought...

Also, there are a few classes that can detonate their own XC combos, but those are honestly rather selfish since no one else would get the credit.

Good examples of primer classes (Red = Warrior, Yellow = Rogue, Blue = Mage):

Keeper (Static Cage - Paralyze)

Elementalist (Lightning Bolt - Paralyze)

Necromancer (Winter's Grasp - Frozen)

Templar (Wrath of Heaven - Stun)

Legionnaire (Payback Strike - Stun*)

Katari (Pommel Strike - Stun)

Alchemist (Knockout Bomb - Sleep)

Hunter (Knockout Powder - Sleep)

Multiple Classes (Shocked + Weakened = Sleep)

Good examples of detonator classes:

Arcane Warrior (Dispel - Eldritch)

Elementalist (Energy Barrage - Eldritch)

Necromancer (Mind Blast - Eldritch)

Reaver (Mighty Blow - Impact)

Legionnaire (Lung and Slash - Impact)

Katari (Whirlwind - Impact)

Assassin (Death Blow - Precision)

Alchemist (Shadow Strike - Precision)

Archer (Long Shot - Precision)

And not everyone wants to waste time grinding for combos only to receive a crappy large chest, so why tell them how to play when there's literally no incentive to do so?

The chests are not just large chests anymore. That's a dated argument.

Aside, if you don't like doing the challenge, that's cool. I personally like it because it will hopefully encourage some teamwork. Reality is, of course, that likely everyone will just spam Templars all weekend. *sigh*

Yeah, they're still just large chests, and who said anything about not liking or wanting to do the challenge? It's just obvious to me why many won't care for it, and I can't blame them.

Come to think of it, you're right. The Commendation Chests are just large chests I think, but Victory Chests actually have higher chances for rare/unique.

Because I said so. ^_^ It's a good learning experience for the new guys.

OT: I went through all the abilities. Comment below if I made any errors.

Even if the chests had a guaranteed unique, the crappy loot system doesn't make it a good enough incentive.

It's a good learning experience for the new guys.

I don't see how. Either way, no one is obligated to help "develop" new guys.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still speedrun, it'll just be with a templar doing W/P all the things. Not hard. . . however...

My optimal builds PERFORM team combos and...

Arcane Warrior

Primers - None

Detonators - Mind Blast, Dispel, Stonefist

Wrong about no AW Primers

AW Primers
Sleep = Shock (Static Charge CL) +Weaken (Pota/SF/VS)

Paralyze = SC

Elementalist:
You're missing static charge here, and the shock weaken combo.

Katari:

Block and Slash will actually stun Guardians, the guys with shields.

There's also the warrior passive that gives 5% stun

Also the warrior passive crippling blows (weaken), which combined with shock weapons will put enemies to sleep.

Maker's Will is a warrior passive 5% chance to weaken, but is an augment to Blessed Blades. Same effect as Crippling Blows.

No, it has nothing to do with BB. It is 5% chance to weaken for the entire party... for every attack.
