It's not only Telltale who do "Telltale games" though - I enjoyed Ep 1 of Life is Strange a lot, too. It has become shorthand for this type of game but I hope other developers follow suit because I really like this kind of game but I've always liked my games to have a heavy narrative focus, so no surprise there.
I don't like Telltale's engine though - I played TWAU and LOVED it (oh god it's so good, go and play it everyone!) but I thought the look of the game was an artistic choice, TWAU being based on comics and all... but then I noticed that all of them games look like that, and I'm not a big fan of it. I have TWD1+2, Borderlands and GoT here but I need to get around and play them... TWD1 Ep 1 was a surprising let down after TWAU so I haven't been keeping up.
But if Bioware's writers would write a "Telltale" game set in the DA universe, I'd be all over it. I'm intrigued with what could be done with the setting if narrative was the only concern. I'm sure it would be awesome. I'm not sure I'd be as interested in a game made by Telltale... but ah who am I kidding, of course I'd play that too. But why hire Telltale if you have awesome writers already?
