Okay, so you know the conversation between a romanced Morrigan and Warden Alistair, in a world state where the HoF went through the Eluvian with her, and then left years later to find a cure for the Calling? The conversation basically ends with Alistair accusing Morrigan of leaving the HoF, and Morrigan responding with, "I was not the one who left." I can get why Alistair would think that Morrigan would leave the Warden, he doesn't have the greatest opinion of her after all. But the way she responds, while technically accurate, makes it sound like she and the Warden broke up, or like he abandoned her and Kieran, when that isn't the case since he's gone to fight the Calling so he can be with them without fearing an early death. I guess maybe she doesn't feel like she owes Alistair an explanation, but she just sounds so sad that it's almost like the Warden disappeared for reasons other than what we're given in the game. Anyone else feel like this conversation was recorded before they decided on why the Warden disappeared? Like maybe they were originally planning to have it be much more bitter than it ended up? Like, the original plan was having the Warden disappear and the LIs wouldn't know where they went? But if that isn't the case, would it really be so hard to add a line of dialogue to make this less ambiguous? Something along the lines of, "I was no the one who left, and he didn't leave us, he's searching for a cure to the Calling. He will return to us."

I think Morrigan is simply being defensive since it's Alistair who she's speaking with. Morrigan says she's going to reunite with the Hero after the crisis of the Breach is dealt with, so I highly doubt the two of them separated (romantically speaking).

Ali is usually king in my DAO playthroughs so I only saw this on youtube. But yes, her tone in this remark makes it seem like the HOF abandoned her and Kieran. Maybe we're just reading too much into it. In her discussions with the IQ, she clearly states that A.) Its a lead that Morrigan discovered that the Warden is currently pursuing and B.) after Cory has been defeated, she fully intends to re-join the Warden once more... "We will be together again soon enough, and I am glad of it."

Its probably more akin to the DAO Morrigan/Alistair relationship that she answers in the way she does.

It's kinda funny how with the other response options Morrigan and Alistair seem to be less antagonistic towards each other. But it's the one where you'd think she'd be more mellow (seeing as how she's more mellow in general when you romance her) that she and Alistair still have that old bickering going on.

I still stand by my theory that maybe the original intent was to have the HoF disappear without telling their LI and this dialogue is a remnant from that part of the process.

Though the "Morrigan just being contrary towards Alistair" makes the most sense. XD
