All in all, what do you think is the most imbalanced MP enemy?

Not the hardest or easiest to kill, but the one that has the worst design for the sake of balance purposes.

Overall, I say Phantoms, since they're supposed to be CQC fighters but do more ranged damage than anything Cerberus fields besides the Atlas and Turret, and on-host ignore damage for no particular reason. I don't know why Bioware thought that adding Dragoons made Cerberus harder, because I think it made them much easier, just because it's something else from the spawn budget that isn't Phantoms.

Off host, I might give to Primes, just because the reaction time of their pets makes even a little bit of lag much more dangerous. They react much, much too quickly.

Phantoms, by a long shot.

Reegar carbine is a better design than phantoms.

Lolgoons. Dat burst-damage... beyond silly.

Never had any problems with Phantoms, always were easy kills to me.

Phantoms ofc.

I think the Prime itself is reasonably well designed.

The Prime's turret on the other hand that can space-magically appear behind walls? Yeah. I dun like that.

Nemeses, a shielded enemy who can't kill you if she is alone sounds quite ridiculous to me.

Possessed Scion design still confuses me, since the Scion by design punishes you for not being in cover but the possession ability just punishes you for being in cover.

Other than that on-host Phantoms largely because of the DR bug(which may actually be that it doesn't apply to off-host. I don't think we ever found out).

On the other side of things, I'd would say the Nemesis is the most imbalanced for being way too weak. Kind of sad considering how terrifying enemy snipers were in Mass Effect 1 on Insanity, especially if you didn't have Immunity.

The worst was that one sniper doing the red beam of doom meant EVERY sniper in the area could use it without needing to do the red beam first.

I still think ME1 is the hardest in the trilogy on Insanity IF you are starting at level 1

If not than ME2 is the hardest.

ME3 was a joke

I think ME1 was much harder than ME2, regardless. It was much easier at the end ofc, as once you had your weapons and powers maxed it was basically god mode, but I only found ME2 if I used my house rules of "no one is ever allowed to fall during a mission," which Miranda single-handedly made ridiculously tough.

Agreed on ME3 being easy. Only the enemy spam on London when you're at the trucks is tough, and that's only if you do the silly rules that I follow. :P

I thought ME2 was harder.

ME1 can be difficult and most importantly, annoying (all those enemy biotics and sabotaging weapons). But once you have access to certain powers and weapons, it becomes easy. In my experience, I have noticed that ME1's difficulty can be influenced significantly by the order in which you choose to do those 3 main missions.

ME2's difficulty scaled much better as you progress through the story line (at least, that's how it felt to me).

Well, as a n00b with only 533 games behind me (N7 rating 442) on the PS3, I have to say it's the Phantom. On Bronze they're manageable, because so few will spawn. On Silver and higher, when multiple Phantoms are zipping around simultaneously, it's the ranged damage that really gets me (literally). On maps with long, clear fields of fire, Phantoms are the worst news.  That said, there's nothing that feels better than cornering one, and giving it a fatal melee smiting.

Seeker swarms. They have to much health, and have weird hitbox, they use(/block) ladders, and attack you even when they are destroyed....

Apart from them, there are Rocket troopers. I really have no idea where do they keep all those rockets... Hunters are pain in the ass, since they get to decide if they will get staggered. Lets not forget Primes Drones, no recharge speed on them, can hit you around Great Wall of China (and that other little pesky pet than can be teleported trough Earts core, just to be planted behind your back)

Phantoms? Phantoms are a joke. In fact, all this talking about broken opponents gave me a need to waste one Phantom right now.

Geth Rocket Troopers, but only because of their bugged triple-tapping rocket launchers. At least Phantoms and Primes are supposed to be horrible but without the bug Rocket Troopers would be little more dangerous than Nemeses.

GODDAMNED MOTHERFUCKING PRIMES, of course! How's that even a question...

ME3 was a joke

I found ME2 to be the hardest. ME1 was made ridicolously easy by selected powers. You just had to survive the early levels, and you could do that with just a grain of salt in your approach. ME2 was challenging from the first mission to the last one. It had some encounters which were capable of challenging you even in the end-game, when you had all the evolutions you needed and could be in pretty much god mode against most encounters, if you made sensible choices. But still, there were some that would make you sweat for it. ME1 had nothing like that. Once you unlocked lift/singularity/immunity/whatever, it was just one roflstomp after the other.

Actually, I think that ME2's difficulty scaling was quite possibly the single best one I've ever seen in a video game. Definitely one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game. Wish Skyrim had something like that :?

The Seeker Swarms and Plagues represent the worst of the design in this game to me. And they're actually doing exactly what they were designed to do.

Don't forget the Atlas missiles. The **** that they can pull is mind bending. Or just bending

Note: Atlas missiles, not the Atlas ;)

Dragoons. I don't know if their insta-switch from melee to frelon XXX was intended but it certainly makes them imbalanced.
Honorable mention to the guardian for his uselessness, since any piercing mod will make a joke of his shield.
