All in all, what do you think is the most imbalanced MP enemy?

... I actually think there's not a single attack they do that can't be dodged/ignored completely. :D

They're much easier to deal with than normal scions, in my opinion. The only annoying thing is that they have a fuckton of health and take too long to go down.

They should make them super squishy, like Possessed Abombs.

They should also explode like Possessed Abombs, only they also throw out a random amount of cluster grenades in every direction when they die.

I have no idea how I've not been asked to be a dev by Bioware yet.

Phantoms can be easily forced to flip or to put their bubble on at which point they are stationary. Once their barrier is down they retreat. Goons die like no tomorrow.

Generally the scenario goes like this:

1-10

I think of all that as a brilliant, masterful strategy by the collectors.

All possessed collectrolls should explode violently. Also, this on a loop constantly in the background

Phantoms can be easily forced to flip or to put their bubble on at which point they are stationary. Once their barrier is down they retreat. Goons die like no tomorrow.

Generally the scenario goes like this:

1. Couple of Praetorians come flying in.

2. Pugs trigger their bubble. Praetorians keep flying in the bubble, unlike Banshee or Phantom.

3. Praetorians get shot, but they have so much health and they are so fast that they almost always reach you before you kill em

4. They fire laz0rs. You can't RHA at that point. Scions drop nades and if you leave cover they shoot you, stagger you and take down your shields for a long time. Possessed Abominations sprint in and they are not safe to kill (unless you get guaranteed HS or want to troll your team) Seekers come in erratic patterns and have too much health too - they take down shields and powers. And there's always that PUG with no dodge kit that can't avoid A-bombs, thus killing the whole team.

5. Pugs drop like flies and revive chain starts. Captains pepper those who dare to revive.

6. Some whip out missile launchers. Oh guess what. 1 missile is often not enough to kill a Preatorian.

7. Praetorian almost dead. But hey, he chooses to get possessed and gains more health. So do half of his team.

8. Praetorian fires more laz0rs. Praetorian finally dies, but his beam still manages to kill something even after it's dead.

9. Now Pugs start shooting Scions, because there was no time or safe position to counter them before everything else is dead.

Wave over. PUGS have no medigel or ops packs and spend a quite a few rockets.

Lmao....that was hilarious because it so eerily mirrors matches I've been in.

I don't know if it's masterful design. It's damn effective, true and if you do manage to survive with minimal damage - it can be fun. But that mostly happens with a team of BSN'ers with lots of head knowledge.  :)

And THAT is why I like collectors. They are just too good at what they do.

honest question: how are you getting shot at by scions while fighting preatorians if the latter moves so much faster than the former?

Because Scions only need to spawn and can begin shooting you from that spot. They don't even need to move most of the time. And if they do, it's like 2 steps.

Possibly the Atlas since they buffed the shields, increased the bloody rocket speed (IIRC) and gave it DoT and those irritating smoke grenades and insta-synch-kill. They take sooooo long to kill, you can't melee them, you can't shadow strike them, they're just tedious friggin' bullet sponges with rockets that stagger you into synch-kills.

... or maybe 'goons for the speed at which they switch between shooting and smashing.

... or just for an honourable mention for a non-Cerberus unit, Geth Hunters with their invisi-you-can't-punch-me cloak that can break a melee lock-on mid-animation.

Yeah, Phantoms don't even rank in my top three (unless hosting) - they have the Stasis Achilles heel, they're staggered (or just murdered) by the Graal or Ballistic Blades followed by Falcon Punch, or Shadow Strike.

On pretty much all open maps. The hacks are almost always within meters of enemy spawn locations. They don't need to move far.

perhaps you should try kiting the praetorians into a place where the scions cant shoot. works for me.

the post i quoted mentioned no specifics about the scenario other than what enemies were present. With pugs, if you can't carry them you shouldnt be in that difficulty level in the first place. with me being funny: I didn't realize we were at odds with each other, but now that i realize we are i should point out that your shifting of the goalposts to make me look incorrect is both fallacious and, being made post-hoc, ironic. so funny. haha.

Look Caldari. We played Platinum with you and I Die On Wave One. I remember getting like 10 revives on you alone.

I do it in bronze too.

and again, fallacious argument. this forum is filled to the brim with red herrings. it seems to have become an accepted mode of argument to change the topic continously until neither side can remember what the argument was about but is instead satisfied with their personal attacks.

for the sake of defending myself i'll just that i didn't typically treat games with friends as competitive unless it was for a specific reason. I played the vast majority of my games in PUG's and the last thing i want to do when playing with people who i KNOW can carry me is gun for the top of the scoreboard.

most of my games with friends had me in last place by about....... a lot.

No need to defend yourself in my eyes, man. People get 10 revives out of me all the bloody time

I'm just going to list all the Collector units, anyway, so what order I put them in is kind of irrelevant.

You asked about the most imbalanced MP enemy?

No.1  Mr. Lag, self-explanatory;

No.2  EA servers aka Space hamsters, stealing all your exp and credits (sometimes challenge points too) when they're not fed well.

No other enemies have managed to make me so furious than the above two, ever.

Dragoons, aka "You shot me point blank with a stagger weapon? Too bad. I just pulled my whips out, so I opt for choice nr 2, which is to not get staggered and continue to whale on you with previously mentioned whips. Oh, trying to run away and take cover, are you? How are you going to do that if I instantly shoot you in the back. Magic!"
