Autosave tends to crash my game once in a while on PS4, but it has been happening less since patch 4.

I thought crashes were just for us PC folks.

It happens to me constantly. But, I admit it could be worse. I usually get a hour of play between crashes( most of the time ).Can't say I've ever seen this happen.

Yeah, I'd like to be able to turn autosave off. Just a thing with me for every game. The fact that I had a couple corrupted autosaves with Skyrim and Fallout: NV probably began making me wary of them.
Autosave slots are also included in the max number of save slots for DAI, too, right? If so, another reason.

About your last question: I dunno.
But corrput autosaves in DA:I, should they occur, shouldn't be a problem. The game stores at least 2 autosaves, so you'll lose minimal progress at best, even if you don't hard save manually. Besides that, there's also milestone saves.

Well, the console don't crash but the app does stop working and returns me to the main menu of the PS4. Which is why I consider it a shut down or a crash from the game itself.

Well, there are too many auto-saves, I for example don't need one on alt+f4 or for that matter basically every 5 minutes. It would make a sense to allow us to disable them (just like in DAO).

They overwrite each time. (I think)

I've never had this problem on the PS4. I'm glad for the autosaves and saw them as an improvement on previous games.
