I've been noticing that enemy variety has taken a sharp slump downward in recent Bioware titles. Both ME3 and DA:I have far less enemy types than the games that came before. The explanation is that enemies are actually being made distinct and unique as opposed to just the same enemy with different stats and appearance.
So we missed out on a few demons. I guess they couldn't find a niche for them to make them unique to say, a Despair Demon. They'll probably show up in the DLC anyhow.
No, DA:i absolutely doesn't.
ME3 has 3 groups of enemies. That's it.
DA:I had loads of different animals, bandits, carta dwarves, demons, templars, venatori, Chasind, Freemen and several well done bosses.
