So now you're calling Vivienne a man? What did she ever do to you!?
Point. Missing it. Oh well....

The difference is that sloth demons and such doesn't make an appearance because they just doesn't, not because they were cut apart. But Desire demons does make one, and tadaa! It's totally different than the DA:O and DA2' ones.
Coincidence? Yeeeah, right...
A single encounter. Probably wasn't worth the effort to port the materials and retexture everything for the engine for a singular encounter.

The same can be said for the boss at the end of the Fade (and Imshael is a boss, too). And surely other "single encounters" I don't quite remember now (it's 2AM here, and my brain is quite addled).
But keep finding excuses instead of going for the most obvious answer, if you're happy with it.
Is this thread stupid ..... yep

What did you expect with a thread title like that?
pf, like I care about the utility of it...I mean, I don't even like bubbys ![]()
They have naked girls on your equipment as well other statues around the place, titsicle jokes, openly gay characters and nudity (which also causes controversy) and there also no sloth or hunger demons so its not like they are the only demon missing.
Maybe they were cut for controversy but don't assume that. It could just be that they did not really fit with other demons pouring out of rifts and they have already done talking manipulate desire demons (which is what they are best at) more than once so envy and fear got a turn instead or maybe it's one of the many things that did not make the cut. They don't need to shoehorn the damn things in just because people think its a feminist conspiracy if they aren't there.
Desire demons didn't attract any sort of controvery that I can remember. Meanwhile, we also have the first actually naked sex scenes in a Bioware game since Mass Effect 1. So I'm not sure where the deal about Bioware being evil censoring puritans comes from.
I didn't notice the Desire Demons were missing until someone pointed them out. That's just how unimportant they really are in the gameplay.
Does a desire demon help you go back in time to stop the Elder One's plans?
No.
Does a desire demon affect the politics of Orlais?
No.
Does a desire demon help you get back your memories in the Fade?
No.
Does a desire demon stop you from bringing back Sir Woosley?
No.
So what the Johnny B.J. is the big deal about desire demons?
No... no not everyone.

Simply, the naked female form. It doesn't help that there are so many different religions in the world, because most if not all religions have it that men are more important than women, though they'll never admit it, but you can see it in their (religious) figures.

I still don't see the real reason why the Desire Demons had to be excluded from this game. i don't believe it has something to do with time constraints cause they had about 4 years when they were working on this game. Probably just wasn't worth the effort to port the model over for a single encounter? Only proves it's laziness on their part. ![]()

Yes... they did... and funnily enough, it created a shitstorm. (See loony bin feedback subforum).
Did Gaxkang ever assume the desire demon form? I don't think it did, but I could be remembering wrong.
Not seeing any evidence of laziness.
Gaxkang is male, and no, he only shifted between Arcane Horror and Revenant.

It's not laziness to waste manpower and money on something that many people won't even see and isn't a core part of the game.
I wish people would learn what laziness is before throwing it out there.

Laziness (also called indolence) is a disinclination to activity or exertion despite having the ability to do so. It is often used as a pejorative; related terms for a person seen to be lazy include couch potato, slacker, and bludger.
As i said, I still don't see the real reason why the Desire Demons had to be excluded from this game. It's bad enough that the Darkspawns have been reduced to just Hurlocks in this game.
So the forbidden one who insisted he was a choice spirit in spite of being a desire demon wasn't enough? I mean Desire demons have appeared more often than sloth demons have in the series and honestly I would have liked to go up against another like the one the warden and companions faced in the circle tower when it had become over run with demons and abominations...

There isn't any reason to have them in DAI. None of the plotlines necessitate the presence of Desire demons.
I mean, ignoring Imshael, who IS a Desire demon.

This. Rather than a reason to exclude, I suspect it makes more sense to want a reason to include. Beyond, you know, t*tties and beer.

Doesn't mean that they should be excluded from this game. I mean, Imshael, who IS a Desire demon should have reverted back to his true from of that Desire Demon.
