So I still get next to no party banter at all in my game. It is annoying as this is one of my fav things about these games and I get nothing....
Are they going to fix the party banter at some point?

What system are you on? I'm on PS4, could go several hours without banter; with the latest patch and making sure codeces are cleared out at all times, I get a lot more banter now. About 2-3 per hour, roughly.

I'm not sure if they will try anymore, haven't they tried to fix it in at least 2 patches? Well, maybe if people keep asking they might still look into it. I get some party banter on PS3, not much, idk what's normal amount, but it's not problem for me at least for now. I wonder what causes you to have no banter : /

I was probably lucky, it seems. Never had any issues with the banter at all. I only got music during cutscenes, however. Has anyone gotten both those bugs? No music and no banter?

The question is; is the banter bug even fixable? If the fix requires bioware to rewrite the banter triggering code then we are out of any hope that it will get fixed.

I had no problems with banter until the last patch. I would hope that a timer to fire audio files is not too complicated for them to fix.
Anyway. No banter fix, no DLC purchase.

I´m on a pc and nothing has been fixed by the patch. There is no banter present. And my pc is top notch, everything else works just fine.

Same here, I finally found a way how to fix the banter (clicking on every new codex entry and quest/sidequest seemed to do the trick, even though tiresome) and now with the patch, my companions barely talk anymore.
I really wish they had a "read all* option like Mass Effect had.

I just got the game a couple days ago and I'm having the same problem. And from the looks of it it seems like a lot of people have been since the game came out. I've talked to an EA Advisor about it and she told me it's a problem they've had for a while and that Bioware is still trying to figure out a fix for it. She said the best thing to do is to make an individual report and try to get it sorted one on one, and to keep following for updates. It's frustrating as hell but I don't think there's much we can do about it at this point.

How much party-banter per hour is normal? In the beginning of the game I was getting 3-4/hour and now I get maybe 1-2/hour if I'm lucky. Is that what you would consider per usual? Sometimes I even miss some banter (like the continuing banter, it'll skip one and go to another making it seem confusing). Also it's more frequent between certain characters.
I hope they fix it, it gets kinda boring without the banter.

There is a banter timer that resets randomly when it fires, and can set the next to fire anywhere from 60 to 900 seconds (1 to 15 minutes). Banter may not actually play when the timer expires, in which case it just resets to another random time. Most banter will only play once, and if the randomly chosen banter has already played before, it will not play anything until the next timer expires and it chooses another and attempts to play it.

A couple weeks back I started a new inquisitor and had a few instances of banter. It was extremely excited. I had to travel for work, came back, fired up, banter gone. Two hours of hinterlands, 0 banter. Always clear codex, keep internet and sharing off. I just don't know what to do at this point. Playing on the One.
