Most of the items are unlocked by purchasing them in a shop in Val Royeaux, there are no timed decorative items. Some thrones and accessories are unlocked through war table missions/side quests/judgements, and there is a window theme you can unlock by completing the Last Court minigame in the Keep.

And also, is there a way of getting rid of all the rubble? Is there a way of getting rid of the blankets that are still covering some of the furniture?
