A pseudodragon looks pretty much like a scaled-down red dragon, except for the sting at the end of the tail. I doubt anyone would notice the presence or absence of the sting on a cat-sized creature in the game.

A faerie dragon would be useful though, provided it was of decent quality - unlike that awful-looking NWN green dragon a few posts above.

Those will be nice to have as familiars again.

Now that I have figured out how to properly weight things, I can fix the creatures as necessary. I cannot wait to finish the Harpy so I do not have to look at those ugly scaly breasts anymore. :P For your viewing pleasure, here is the latest render of the Harpy. I will start animations in a few minutes and probably have it in game within the hour.

I still have a few weighting issues to fix on the Harpy, but here is a screen of the current version in a group photo.

Quick update on the wyrmlings:

black / green / blue / red /white on the first row

901-1-1425753276.png

brass / bronze / copper / silver / gold on the second row.

All have their blueprints matching the D&D data, including the pseudodragon and the faerie dragon (for which I took the NWN values though).

What still needs to be done is the creature weapons (luckily, NWN2 had the hide properties available, although for adult / very old / venerable dragons), and probably a young, an adult and a great wyrm version.

What started as a test for verification of the conversion of NWN creatures into multipart NWN2 creatures has now become a full project... But that's all the funnier as I needed a few dragons for my campaign anyway.

Thanks rjshae. I think our conversions are coming almost a decade too late, but better late than never I suppose. NWN2 definitely needed more creature variety, that is for sure!

As long as people are still modding and playing, it's never too late.  :)

The harpy needs the high resolution texture if there's one available for it.

This thread makes me want to go through the nwn1 creature list for requests. :)

That is the high resolution texture. The texture looks better close up. The model actually suffers from NWN1 ugliness. I might be able to fix that with weighting.

Project Q for NWN1, they have plenty of very high quality creatures.

http://neverwinterva...bined/project-q

Thread to ask for their permission to port:

http://forum.bioware...t-and-criteria/

Just sayin...

thri-keen

a bunch of constructs like the Shield Guardian

kappa

kenku

scarecrow

six different illithids

mezzoloth

aboleth

marilith

alligator/crocodile

The angularity of constructs and insectoids makes them look like they'd fit right into nwn2.

kenku

All of Ryuujin's stuff, such as the kenku (2nd and 3rd editions) have declarations on them abandoning his copyright as of 2007, which seems to imply that he no longer requires permission for them.

The CEP 2.60 has a cr*pload of creature models, and you don't need permission. :) It takes a while to download though.

According to the Vault, CEP is the same license as Q, asking them is nice though, plus it's "in writing" so to speak. :)

Also, found better thri-keen here:

Mmm, my understanding is that the license for Q is more limited. According to their FAQ, at any rate,

Bone Golem is in. The Stinger has been in for awhile, but I did not include it in previous group photos. All creatures in the photo use the hi resolution textures (512x512) from NWN. The other three Stingers are almost done, their weighting needs work.

The NWN bone golem is in HotU a few times, so it will be useful. The texturing didn't look that great, but perhaps it'll look better in the NWN2 engine? It's hard to tell at the scale shown here. :)

Could you release what you have now and then update? In case of random meteor strikes and whatnot...

I wish that had been done with the Cyclops model... and the catacombs tileset. :(

I will release them when I fix all of the weighting, it should not be too much longer. I am porting the NWN Beholders as well, they do not look bad at all. I might do the Illithids too, since they had some different looking ones in there.

I just sent calister a message through the forums, that should send him an email notifying him he has a message. Whether that goes to an email address he/she reads we'll see.

I forgot to mention that I am also porting the Bulette, Parrot, and a few other critters I found in some NWN files.

An owlbear would make a nice addition, if you're interested. It's a decently tough encounter for lower level parties, and good for weird wizard experiments.
