OMG

just TRIED to do the weekend challenge.

First game: Could not move but could use abilities. Quitting was not possible.

Second game: Infinite loading/connecting screen. Quitting was not possible.

(Computer restart)

Third game: Infinite loading/connecting screen. Quitting IS not possible....

.... Still loading while I am writing this post.

Right now I got sooo much love to share. Anybody wants to get some? Please come and hug me.

How is this even possible after 5 Months and 4-5 patches ?????

Brutal...  *Cyber-hugs*

I think BW needs space magic again.  BW, let's see if this triggers some memories.

fourth game: Finally able to connect and play !! so grateful for temporarily getting what I paid for. Then - on second wave:

Hidden enemy - visible on mini map - not able to reach it through walls - no key drop.

WHY AM I DOING THIS ?

I am like a monkey that puts his hand into an ant hole again and again even if he should have learned it hurts.

Mistake: 'Unlike me, a monkey is actually able to learn

I play as often as I can still, which typically is in the weekends currently - but from time to time also a game or two on the weekdays.

I'm bored of the continuous 1-20 repeat grind on characters that I don't care for and have no real attachment to.

I probably wouldn't be bored if they just made the grind so you could create a unique character like in single player, and just level him up and improve him and respec if necessary, etc. Bring in the full shabang of skill selection and 8 skill slot bar. Scale up all the enemy encounters in difficulty/size to make up for the boost in character effectiveness.

I'm bored out of my skull at this point. I can't play more than two games without feeling the need to do something else.

I don't think new content will do much to help either.

Unfortunately, this.

Just out of continued curiosity - if you are bored with the game, don't play it and don't plan to in the event of new MP DLC, why do you continue to be on these forums?

It seems very counter productive to me. Save the harddrive space for some other game and play something else?

Because we want to, and because we can.

It's about investment, which transcends logic.

New stuff will invigorate tired bloggers...

Lies.

That being said,

> loaded up origin yesterday..
> oh look an update..
> check the forums..
> news and announcements..
> oh look no build notes..
> Gets message from Coldflame
> Loads up game
> Oceanic community still dead
> Plays half dozen games with old friends
> Annoyed about having to promote to complete weekend event
> Still thinks game was a waste of money

Still going to stick with only playing the multiplayer when I have mates online. In the 4 hours with coldflame, public, no one joined. That is how dead oceanic community is. Saw johnny was on with his mate, so we got a group of 4 that way.

Noticed, the percentage of players who complete the events have dropped each week.

59% > 61% (steady) > 45% > 31% > This week ???

The Oceanic community might be dead, but the Brazilian one has never existed. From Day One I've been playing with North Americans and Europeans, 200-350ms ping, guaranteed black screen, infinite loading, can't play with most people on my FL due to connectivity issues, can't pug at all due to region lock, all that good stuff. Still, they haven't stopped me. Obviously there are occasions when I question myself why do I play this game, but I still play with anyway.
I've already played a few games on Asian hosts, and even though the lag there is on another level, for me it is still much better than not playing at all. I would easily play on Oceanic hosts if you guys have a Perilous team with a free spot.

So, to summarize:

To Kenny Bania, DA(I)MP is the ex-spouse you left because you fell out of love and you say you will never go back to, but you still facebook stalk because you want to know what's happening in his/her life.

To Spacevegan, DA(I)MP is the abusive spouse everyone tells you to leave but you won't and crawl back for any scrap of affection s/he is willing to throw your way.

:D

I had decided to wait on DAMP, especially with the initial reaction being so tepid.  As of today, this forum is generating less traffic than the ME3MP forum.  If you go back through the ME3MP forum to May 2012 -- when the game was about the same age as here -- any given day had six pages of churn, maybe more.

Dammit, I wanted to like this game so bad.

Yah, this just shows that how much smaller DAIMP player population is compared to ME3MP player population. DAIMP had a chance to rival ME3MP at the begining, but I guess getting in quick cash from the Christmas sale was more important to ea.

There is also the little thing that in order to get the best outcome in ME3 you were forced to participate in Multiplayer, something that is not a requirement in DAIMP.

Plus we don't know sales numbers other than it exceeding Bioware's own projections.

Also, 3rd person Bro-shooters have always been more popular than fantasy settings so it's not entirely apples vs apples here.

Well, I suppose if you were happy with only having 50% Readiness rating initially it would be fine to avoid multiplayer.

But reading it now on the War Assets Wiki, I can see that Bioware made changes to the game after I stopped playing it, so the requirements are easier to reach without involving Multiplayer, if you have all DLC and the enhanced ending.

Well,I would lie,if say I didn't have fun with DAMP.

Too bad it didn't get the same amount of love (from Biower) as MEMP,though

I played it from the start and before any changes or DLC, and never had issues getting the best ending. I didn't touch MP until months after, and even then only ever promoted twice.
