Sorry, but I have to let off some steam.

 

So, I did the weekend challenge and got those192 chests. Yippieeh

 

First disappointment: The only useful thing it gave me was a shield that gives extra damage for every enemy around.

 

But hey, at least - finally a useful new item! sooo happy!

 

 

But while I was wondering if I get the extra damage or my enemies (hello berserk items...),

I realized: Sh*t, this is Bioware!! - probably this item does not work AT ALL 

 

And surprise: it does not do anything.

 

 

 

Let it melt in your mouths:

After 4-5 patches it still seems to be normal that items just don't work !!!

 

Or if you want to go easy on Bioware and just accept that so many things don't work: Then, WHY are the tooltips still wrong

after so many patches !!! 

 

By the way, 

out of a normal chest I just got a second Staff of the Dynamo ... You know: the best staff in the game - if it only worked !!! (as the tooltip says)

Pretty much weekend events only. I'm not even pushing RL friends to get it at this point, because I don't want to be blamed for them wasting $60.

This last week was the first week I didn't regularly play. Just did weekend event.

Blame Neverwinter. Pretty cookie-cutter MMORPG stuff but it's different and having fun with it.

Plus I get to play a class that actually heals instead of just protects. Lookin at you, Keeper!

Not even WEs. It's just lacks special rewards. I don't really want to waste my time for the items I already have. If I think about WEs, my brain just goes into "you aren't really considering doing that without beeing rewarded?!?" mode. The only way I can enjoy DAMP is maybe playing it for a couple of hours every one or two weeks. It's just too boring for me.

I didn't even do the Weekend event this weekend, looked like too much of a grind. Eight games of threatening if you have no perilous leveled characters...no wait, not eight games, eight completed matches... so if people start Leeroying it on wave 5... you just wasted all of that time... and still have at least eight more matches to play.

I haven't really tried to play for over a month now. I visit the forums regularly just to see if there's a "real" reason to play again.

I still play Company of Heroes at least once a week... So it's not really about new DLC or getting old. It's just not fun for me.

I've pretty much only ever been a DAMP weekend warrior. Unfortunately, I don't get much uninterrupted gaming time in the evenings on weeknights, so when it does happen, I'm usually playing SP so I can pause as needed.

I'm still playing regularly. Thanks to 99% of people quitting I have even made it to the top 100. Believe it or not I actually like the game, and I'm lucky enough to have a group of friends in my zone that are also playing regularly.

 

That doesn't change my objective judgement of the games serious flaws. I have a number of friends from my greater region and beyond who I'd like to be able to play with but generally can't because of how bad the lag is. To be fair I have noticed that the game seems more stable now, I am not crashing anywhere near as much as I used to. Good old ninja fixes, it's like the problem was never there
