This trumps the others.

Sure, but while you're scoped in you cannot appreciate nor get any benefit from the Tracer Rounds, so again, WTF is up with the design of the gun?

the tracers are so everyone can see how bad your aim is, which is why you picked the Indra in the first place.

This thread convinced me to try it. Not bad at range, but awful in close. Either hipshoot and lose half the damage, or scope in but can't find the target. Needs a secondary, so there goes the CD.

It's a way to use all those sniper amps, I guess. The sight picture is pretty bad while shooting. Meh.

I used to like it on the Demolisher way back when I first unlocked her and before I had a Harrier. I've used it for short times on various characters since, but it never lasts. I'm currently using it on my Novaguard as I've found a decent ranged weapon to soften things up before going human grenadey works nicely.

Is it always a better long ranged rifle than the Raptor? For some reason I found I like the Raptor more.

They see it anyway, at least I can take down a Husk reliably with Indra barrage and not miss miserably like with Javelin.

By awful in close do you mean back pedalling a Banshee while shooting out of scope? Otherwise there shouldn't be an issue with in your face enemies. It's called quick scoping. Heck, you don't even have to think. Just press & hold the scope button just before the fire button without even thinking, and adjust while shooting. Target makes a dodge out of sight? Un-scope, repeat.

Which kit did you try it on? Did anyone try it on a GI with Barrage Gear & headshot focus yet? It's not that hard to get headshots with this setup. ie. Start anywhere, then adjust aim toward head.

I don't know if this should go in the shameful confessions thread, but I used to run the Asari Huntress with Harrier I & Indra I, back when my manifest was even shittier than it is now.

Because after you run out of ammo with the Harrier you can switch to the Indra and spray more bullets! Yeah!

Well it made sense to me at the time.

It's a bold strategy, that's for sure.

Why didn't you use a widow?

Awesome gun, I love it on my GI, GE and Tsol.

Once I felt like trolling and used it on the Fury, it wasn't too bad.

The Widow requires aiming and it takes so long to reload! At least that was my perspective a year ago.

Actually I still suck with the Widow. Heh.

I hate the Indra, that gun has no right to be in the sniper rifle category.

Raptor and Mattock are both better in the same role, but Indra isn't bad and is a better choice for lesser race weaklings with jelly fingers. It makes a better assault rifle than almost every non UR assault rifle (sans Mattock) because it actually hits where you are aiming while doing reasonable damage.

It works particularly well on Infiltrators because the time taken to empty it meshes pretty well with TC and you get a damage boost, and it is light enough to also bring a shotgun for anti armor duties (If you don't feel like sitting there and dumping 4+ Indra clips into them).

Why worry about weight as a infiltrator? Unless your the shadow it doesn't matter and if you're the shadow then I would have to ninja slap you if you took the Indra on her.

Weight can still be an issue sometimes. After all, you don't always break cloak right away.

Well, all else being equal, you'd still like your cloak cooldown to be as short as possible. Even if you break cloak immediately after activating it, it still has to cool down a proportion of the time it would have taken to cool down after being active for its full duration. So it's not that infiltrators don't care about weight, it's that they can afford to care less than other classes.
