I think it's likely Kieran was just created with the Human Noble Origin in mind. He looks a lot like Owen and Fergus and Eleanor has green eyes.

Well if yellow eyes and black hair is only issue with all due respect then you can mod that thing yourself!
It is not hard to mod it and it doesn't take much time at all
...unless you are console player...then there could be issues.

Yes, I know I said that. Shadow wasn't happy with how Kieran looked. I suggested, therefore, that maybe he could mod him to more fit what he felt Kieran should look like. Not seeing the issue here...

i c, i guess your warden is the father which is why you are not bothered by it.

Uh, that depends on which playthrough I recreated in the keep. Some were, some had Alistair, and a couple had Loghain. It doesn't bother me because it is a ridiculously trivial thing. That you lack the imagination to view him differently in your mind is your problem, not the game developers. Again, you can mod him if it bugs you so much.

Correction: The game developers lack the imagination to view him differently is their problem, not the the player since they felt the time would be better spent elsewhere and as with all things there were definite sacrifices made as a result of the decision for this game.

Besides kids don't stay looks same as they grow xD
I had blonde hair when I was kid but when I grew up my hair pretty much became dark brown almost black. So I don't see much panic about Kieran since he is only a kid, by time he turns older he might end up having raven hair as Morrigan.

Yes, because clearly the developers should have to worry about every conceivable genetic outcome and code that into the game rather than having the player take some initiative and be *gasp* the least bit imaginative.

Why should i thank you for that when i already know of it?
Sorry I'm right now finding this whole situation in here way too much amusing .

I mean if I had a Black Warden having a pale child with no features of mine seems kind of odd doesn't it? Kind of immersion breaking.
Not to break your character but black colored people are not supposed to be that common in Thedas (it is based on the middle ages in Europe). Let alone a black noble human. With Vivienne in mind, I believe she is black for political correctness. Also lore-wise I don't think Dwarf-Human breeding is possible. The skin color goes for elves as well. Other features you can blame Morrigan dominance for.
Ser Barris is from a noble Fereldan family. And dwarf-human breeding has been established as possible.

you could be right that Dwarf-Human breeding is not possible because of Dave Gaider's hatred for Dwarf romance. he thinks of them as "eww" proof is right here, http://i.imgur.com/bX7Xoki.jpg

Ser Barris makes an appearance from the same game as the one that Vivienne does. I would guess that he is black for the same reason as well.
And where has dwarf-human breeding been established as possible?

i'd like to know too.
i know Dave Gaider said he's got nothing against dwarf/dwarf romance but Dwarf/any other race = "eww" from him. Just saying.
David Gaider said so. And... Kieran is right there.
As far as that other thing he said: he was joking. See the thread "Concerning comments by the head writer" in the Scuttlebutt (Spoilers) forum, from July of last year.

Oh i c, using Dragon Age 1 as proof if the warden was a dwarf and did the DR with Morrigan. my mistake.
And... Kieran is right there.
Yeah, and he does not look like a dwarf or a "half" dwarf. (if such thing exists in the lore of dwarves, elves, ogres)

I agree, all morrigan said, "He's a normal looking boy"
And yes i know what you all are thinking, nothing wrong with that right?
Nevertheless, he is half-dwarven if your world state is set up that way. And black people exist in some number in southern Thedas (pay a little more attention and you'll see other dark-skinned NPCs scattered about). Those are facts.
Morrigan doesn't say he's a normal looking boy. She says he's a normal boy.

This is why Inquisition broke the lore of its previous games and this type of fantasy genre. The developers wanted to please everyone so they went against the lore to do that.
They always wanted to have people of color in the games. Engine limitations made it difficult. Now they've overcome that.
