I was wondering if maybe there might be a DLC class option to play a magical bard in Inquisition? The reason I ask is because I have been watching the Lindsey Stirling Inquisition music video and it strikes me that a magical bard would be a cool extension of Dragon Age's already awesome mage class. Just a suggestion.

If anything, a bard would be a rogue specialization given it was in Origins. The 'bard songs' were meant to be inspirational on their own, without magic.
In this reporters opinion, a Specialization DLC pack would include:
- Bard (Rogue Specialization): Inspire your Allies and distract your enemies! Whether as a distant archer or a whirlwind of daggers, you make sure your voice is heard across the battlefield!
- Blood Mage (Mage Specialization): Using your blood or the blood of your enemies, you can harm the living, control those who stand in your way, or even heal yourself and your allies!
- Berserker (Warrior Specialization): Your rage cuts deeper than any blade! Strike hard against your enemies with reckless abandon, and with every wound they inflict upon you, your rage only grows stronger!

What's the point? It is just gonna be restricted by the stupid 8-slot skill limite.

Personally, that's never been a problem for me, sine I've been able to just Charging Bull and Shield Wall to victory. ![]()

Good for you. The 8-slot limit is more a hindrance for mage characters.

Have more choices for the player ? Heresy !
Didn't you know 8 x 4 = 32 and that is enough ? Didn't you know that we "have more abilities that previous games" ? Didn't you know that we cannot have more than one specialization because "1 is more fleshed out now, so 1 > 2 or 1 > 3" ?
In DAO, we can take 3 specializations.
In DA2, we can take 2 specializations.
In DAI, we can take 1 specialization.
In DA4, we will be able to take 0 specializations. Because specializations are too video-gamey and too complicated for players for we are all simpletons who button mash according to EA.

Bringing two mages along fixed that problem for me.

They attempt to disguise this with some magical smoke bomb that the Rogues throw. To be fair that smoke bomb radius should be a lot bigger.

Ok I did specifically say a magical bard, and I said it would be cool because of the Lindsey Stirling Inquisition music video, where she appears to use magic and music together. I just thought it would be a cool suggestion, sorry for stepping on toes. And before anyone goes nuclear on me yes I know magic and music are interchangeable in many videogame mythologies.

To me tempest is the magic rouge but that's just me (before the game released I thought tempest was going to be magic rouge) isn't alchamy pretty much magic? Science and magic are one in the same?
Sort of, they're magic potions. Not alchemy in lead to gold
