We need a _real_ "Don't move" and "Don't shoot" button

Yes, I agree somewhat with this post. The behaviors were just too limited. I suspect, BW had to think about the console users as well as the pc users. Console users don't have the mouse so they have to click buttons to scroll through all the commands and maybe BW thought this would be unattactive.

 

I liked DAO where you had the option to cast spells when you had 3 enemies around you, etc. One problem I noticed in DAI, companions don't listen. You tell them to attack a target, then they come back after a few seconds. Player input should overide AI.
