Still haven't bought the game.

On the fence. So spoiler me a bit to help me decide.

Who is the big bad?

How does the mages/templar conflict get resolved?

How many templars joined the red templars?

How many mages go full blood magic?

Why can the player close rifts?

Who is the big bad?

His name is Shecky.  Shecky the Awful.  The Brutal and Tenacious.

How does the mages/templar conflict get resolved?

You kill off both sides. Problem solved.  Peace and Harmony through extinction.

How many templars joined the red templars?

All but the most wussie ones.

How many mages go full blood magic?

At least 6.3

Why can the player close rifts?

Because he/she is special.  It's that whole chosen one shtick.  Quite fun, highly recommended.

Who is the big bad?

Corypheus

How does the mages/templar conflict get resolved?

You side with one of them, the other side is corrupted by Corypheus.

How many templars joined the red templars?

If you support the templars just the ones who are corrupted at Kirkwall, if you side with mages almost the entire Order.

How many mages go full blood magic?

Grey Wardens mages and the Venatori (mages from Tevinter that follows Corypheus) use it, if you side with the templars, the rebels convert to the Venatori.

Why can the player close rifts?

He stopped Corypheus at the conclave, he picked up a magical orb and gained the power to close the rifts

Who is the big bad? Corypheus

How does the mages/templar conflict get resolved? Depends on choices you make through out the game

How many templars joined the red templars? Depends on if you go Templars or mages

How many mages go full blood magic? That's never addressed directly in the game. It's more about Red Lyrium than about "ahmg blood magic". I mean we know the Warden Mages do use it... but that's the only point it's directly addressed.

Why can the player close rifts? Are you sure you want this one to be spoiled? The reveal of it is done pretty nicely in game imo.

The Big bad is Corypheus, he is in command of a faction called the Venatori, they are Extremists from Tevinter with Magisters in their ranks, The Archon condemns them but its suspected they are supported by many in the Imperium & Magisterium

Mages/Templars Conflict: The Templars were apparently winning the war according to Fiona, The Mages pledge themselves to the Venatori fearing for their lives, if you support the Templars then the Mages remain with the Venatori and you pretty much wipe them out. If you help the mages the entire order of Templars is tricked into taking red lyrium (Apparently the madness and Meredith isn't common knowledge)

Templars joining the red Templars, Well most of the leaders and officers, those that could have opposed them in command were discreetly murdered (Like the Knights Vigilant) and all of them become red templars if you don't side with them, otherwise only some of them do but still enough to form an army.

How many mages go full blood magic? Well theres a schism in their ranks and a bunch remain in the hinterlands having gone powermad and wanting to take a grab at power etc. Theres also a schism within the Templars of those who refuse the order to return to Val Royeaux and consolidate to instead hunt these mages down and wipe them out.

Player can close rifts thanks to an ancient elven artifact called a focii that existed before the fall of Arlathan, powerful magic that Corypheus got his hands on. At the summit it manages to briefly fall into your hands by accident. This is the device that initially opened the breach. Your brief wielding of the Focii marks you with a piece of itself, magic just called "The Anchor" that is like a key, can be used to open and close rifts in the fade.

Just a minor quibble;

The Mages didn't pledge themselves to the Venatori, they believed they were forming an alliance with Tevinter to allow them to join the Imperium as free citizens. What they didn't realise was that the Tevinter mages they were dealing with were part of the Venatori and planned to use Red Lyrium to mind-control the Mage Rebellion like they've done with the Wardens and the Red Templars, in order to make them more of Corypheus' mooks.

I recently got KOTOR on Steam, because I have never played it. I hate you*.

*Not really, I didn't get what that line actually refers to, and I have a bunch of old games to finish, so by the time I get to KOTOR I will have forgotten about this.

Hey everyone. I know the thread had a short answer but that does not mean you should start spamming off-topic posts. We are done here.
